WHAT SHE PASSED DOWN 1

My mother never rushed getting ready.
Not because she was slow, but because she believed how you stepped into the world mattered.

She would adjust her clothes, look at me, and say,
“Don’t let the world rush you. Dress well. They will see you.”

I did not understand her then.
She felt old fashioned in a world that kept getting louder.
But when she passed, I realized she was protecting something for me.

What I miss most is not the clothes.
It is the way she carried herself.
Quiet confidence. Unshaken presence.
A woman who did not need permission to exist fully.

Now when I dress, I hear her voice.
I slow down. I stand taller.
I move with her lessons stitched into me.

This shoot is not about style.
It is about memory.
About a daughter becoming what her mother prepared her to be.

This is what she passed down.
And some days, it is the closest I get to her.

FADING ECHOES OF US 2/3
Loving you is meant to be a feeling that is laced with intentionality and ease.
Intentionality? That I have mastered but these realities have always left ease far from reach.

Loving you is meant to be a bed of roses but it shows that of thistles and thorns.
Piercing through my heart and now, I have to protect it and give up Loving you.

FADING ECHOES OF US 1/3
Each time I envision our fingers intertwined,
my reality dawns to the multiple tasks my fingers have to complete.
I yearn each day for a chance to complete you but it seems it’s an herculean task.

A knock at the door hints at a love forgotten
yet the world of tasks holds me captive
when the boss arrives with another burden,
the ticking clock devours all that might have been.

In a dimly lit studio, an artist stands captured in a multiple exposure photograph in his own world. His hands, placed in various positions tells a story of relentless passion and inner conflict. One moment, they brush his lips in contemplation, the next, they clasp his chest in vulnerability.

His calmness amidst the chaos despite the adornment of rings and bracelets reflects the artist's personal memories of resilience which manifest his creativity.

This poignant image captures the essence of the artist's journey. His connection with his art and unwavering dedication to taking us on his journey.
