POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hi, I'm Miles Burgess, Im a Shophmore going into Junior year in high school, and I'm hosting a 5k walk run to rasie money for the Shawnee County 4-H program🍀. This program helps kids learn essential skills for the real world, which include:
Leadership, Communication, Teamwork, and Grit.

🍀Please post this on your story. This is the first year of doing this, and I'm trying to get as many people yo sign up as possible.🍀

What is included when you register early -
- T-Shirt 👍
- A ticket to get all you can eat pancakes 😋

My Why 🤔

This program has helped me so much learn skills that will help me a lifetime, sponsored some trips, and helped me make life-long memories. I want to give back to the program in hopes that another young kid will get some of the same opportunities that I did.

I was at a 4-H event called Ignite by 4-H. At this event, there were many amazing speeches, but one stood out to me the most. There was a speaker from Walmart. Her name is Maggie Sans. She gave an amazing speech about how we shouldn't be afraid to be different, make a difference, and do something different. She told us that we shouldn't be afraid to step out of our comfort zone. At the end of her speech she started handing out these national 4-H pins. So instead of waving my hand around like everyone else, I stood up from the back of the room, went out of my comfort zone, and calmly walked to the front of the room. She handed me 2 national 4-H pins and told me to talk to her afterwards. After her amazing speech, she told me that she would have Walmart send something to me. Thank you, Walmart, and thank you, Maggie Sans. 🍀

This is my final 4-H Ignite post. It's kinda crazy how this event brought all of us together. If it wasn't for this event, I know that I wouldn't have met some life-long friends that I haven't seen in almost half a year. I wouldn't have met some new life long friends, and I wouldn't have learned half of the stuff I did. It was so amazing to meet all of you. You all are really nice people, and you are the people that make 4-H, 4-H. Thank you again for everything. 🙂

Hope you all have some wonderful lives full of adventures and fun. ✌️

It was fun meeting you all. I had so much fun at Ignite and can't wait to see you all again. Weather, you knew me as Miles, Kansas, or Kansas guy the Journey with everyone was amazing. It was so fun hearing all of your stories, and making some stories with you along the way. I hope for the best for all of you.
