Dance music sets you in motion, but some tracks end up setting you in MOTION; down a rabbit hole and into expanding space-time arcs.

After several years following releases on @accessoryrecords , and sub label Accessories to Murder, an unreleased post-punk Pylon meltdown was rumored to have come from the fingertips of label co-founder @miles_mercer .

The track coalesced fellow punters across genre disciplines, and incited riots of anticipation. After connecting with and tracking down Miles via URL, an IRL tall-man meet up took shape in Detroit—at the source.

Now the NYC via Seattle label head takes to the @particlefm airwaves, unveiling a peek inside the raw, sludgy, sound garden of his mind ahead of an exciting fall tour.

Buckle up with us - this Wednesday starting at 6p PT on @vibraryofcongress for Miles’ guest mix and get to know him in the Q&A above!! Join from anywhere at Particle.FM #internetradio #particlefm #vibraryofcongress by @miles_mercer

My Nowadays Nonstop opening set is 🆙

Lots of my all-time favorite records throughout. Nothing happens minimal, everything happens industrial, acid house, half-time dub, and even a wrong speed drum and bass record.

An honor to have been included on this super stacked lineup of homies and icons. Thx for listenin’ ✌️

Next Thursday, join us for an Accessory Records takeover at @signalnyc.

We are joined by long-time friend of the label and day 1 supporter of both our music and our tote bags – @succubass.

Our opener @second._.contact is a kindred spirit of the Accessory Ethos with sets that glide through the funk, the freak, and the guitar-laden.

On closing duties, your humble residents. As always, we’re here to help! taken in Signal NYC by @miles_mercer

Wow ok huge carousel documenting a rare b2b and even rarer trash BF appearance across 2 hours of scuzz inspired tracks, covering for @yowaitup Tranquilamente Radio lot show. So much happened, like the big reveal that behind every tall boy dj is actually a woman putting in the twerk. There was an ill conceived dance move, arguing over 1s or 2s, and a spirited debate about mixing in key. Miles dissociated for much of the two hours, coming to right in time to shout out our listeners in Waco Texas and Main Street New Paltz #gohawks we also have the reaction shot of the discovery of our new paltz listener. It felt like everyone we ever met was at the lot that day, forming mosh pits both in and out of the booth. Apologies for the damage caused. taken in The Lot Radio by @miles_mercer

@miles_mercer co founder of @accessoryrecords delivers a mix that blurs the lines between rock and dance music. This mix focuses on a particularly potent period between 1984 and 1994 for this type of cross-pollination between Post-Punk, Acid House, and Industrial.

“Mixed with love for my friends and disdain for my enemies on two Technics turntables.”
