The floor won’t feel the same without you.

Some souls enter your life for a moment and leave an imprint that lasts forever.

Ren, we didn’t get nearly enough time, but somehow we knew each other deeply. Kindred spirits. Dance partners. Friends.

Thank you for every dance, every laugh, every bit of shade, and every reminder that kindness can show up in unexpected ways(even through shade). And thank you for those sweet good morning messages that always seemed to arrive at just the right time.

You were loved by so many, and it’s easy to see why. Your warmth, your humor, your spirit, and the way you made people feel seen left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know you.

The community lost a beautiful soul, and so many of us lost a friend.

Rest in power, Ren Xtravaganza. Forever loved.

Miles (@milesehan) from my forthcoming book FELLA: IMAGES OF MEN

“FELLA is multi-disciplinary artist Brad Walsh’s first book of film and digital photographs, and film stills. The images inside span Walsh’s career as a fashion and nightlife photographer from 2002-2018, as well as impromptu and candid snaps taken over the last two decades. Subjects include many types of men - mostly ordinary people - peppered with actors, singers, models, and other cultural figures. Men are presented in various dispositions and states of undress.”

“Brad Walsh’s portrait and fashion photographs have appeared most notably in Vogue, The New York Times, Women’s Wear Daily, Elle, InStyle, Marie Claire, Nylon, Blackbook, Teen Vogue, and Spin; in promotion or advertisement for Christian Siriano, Victoria’s Secret, TreSemme, Gibson Guitars, and Kleinfeld Bridal; and on the covers and pages of art and fashion books from major trade publishers. In 2023 he published a book of poetry and illustrations titled The Overwhelming Expectation of Pleasantness (OMGBTW), and menswear fashion photography book JUMPER in 2024.”
