If you’re new here, my name is Jeremy and I sometimes photograph friends running.I mostly make pictures as an act of service. It is a love language—a lexicon of giving in the same way runners give their all in a PR attempt. Seeing through a lens is my way of witnessing, spectating, or cheering when I am not running myself. If you’re scrolling and wondering why you were not pictured, it is not because I wasn’t cheering for you. I want everyone to win. My visual focus is just less on all of the above and more on who or what keeps me grounded. Sometimes it can be about the surrounding ambience or atmosphere. Sometimes it can be about the polarities between the before, during, or after as they fill time and space. Sometimes it’s simply about subjects.Most subjects feel like they need to trust the photographer before their picture can be made. 📸 All photos by @rborsdorf 5 am June 13th 2026, a ceiling was broken, a wound began to heal, and the impossible was commencing. The journey of 100 miles had begun. The crossing of the starting line signaled the beginning of a mental war—a war within. Every step taken was met with questions and a sense of inadequacy. What are you doing? Are you strong enough? And how far will you go before things fall apart? Through all of the noise, another thought remained. “Make it to mile 56.6”. Around mile 50, the scorching sun was replaced by darkness and an unforgiving cold. Negative thoughts and feelings are now screaming. I was falling behind on the cut-off and now Halucinating. Dark, shadowy figures, a levitating person, and shrubs were being mistaken for porcupines. I was a mess. The thought of quitting was now in my mind. I was no longer looking at mileage and was now about to stop at the next station. Loud, faint yelling. “Let’s go!!!! Vsbshsv!!!” I can’t make out the last part. “X!!!!!” “Come on X!!!” I can’t tell if it’s real, but I’ll keep it pushing. I finally see a glimpse of light; the next station is ahead. I go a bit further, and the sight makes me crumble. Everyone is there in a circle, cheering me on. All of my loved ones. It’s 10 something at night in the middle of the woods, and they showed up. I was an emotional wreck. They cared for me and assured me that I have what it takes to see this through. Someone truly special reminded me that I am not alone. There was no way I wasn’t crossing that finish line. I got up and received the warmest group hug. Picked up Jear and soon Connor as pacers and began a tough shuffle. This tough journey was a lesson. Weight does not have to be borne alone. With loved ones, you can take over the world. Once again, I love you guys so much! 100-mile club baby!!! by @milesoverbarriers

Snapshots from the 5:00 AM send off at Cal Memorial Stadium this morning at the first ever @bayarea100mile! 🥇⛰️MOB and friends are currently waiting for @4forever_forward_motivation and @xavierihendrix at Chabot Staging (mile 56.6) where @jearski will be pacing Xavier for 26.6 miles until @conolulu tags in for the remaining 17.4 miles to the finish line.
