One thing about the running community, the energy is unmatched. Good people, good vibes, and everybody out there pushing each other to be better. by @milesoverexcuses

God is the greatest. Medal Monday is hitting different today!

I thank God for giving me my spark back and the abilities to tackle hard tasks. I thank God for allowing me to realize that walking in purpose is more important than keeping up with the Joneses. I thank God for guiding me along this journey and allowing me to meet some of the dopest individuals known to mankind to build my Fitfam + community. I thank God for making me in His image; making me 1 of 1…the biggest, baddest, & best Sweet Peach to come up ite the souf.

Thank you ATC for being inclusive. Thank you BICR for embracing & welcoming me in. Thank you MOE for reminding me that it’s mind over matter because nothing else matters when it’s just you & those miles. Thank you BGWC for connecting me to brown women who are like chicken soup on a winter day; warm & good for the soul. 🫶🏽

Officially a 10MilerMami until I’m a HalfMaraHottie come Thanksgiving Day. 🫶🏽

today, I did a really hard thing. the #ATL10MILER was NOT a cake walk for me. I conquered it through tears, from motivation and voicenotes in my family group chat, & w/ some of my favorite folks pulling me out of my own head to push me through to the finish.

never in my wildest dreams could I have fathomed myself voluntarily registering to run/walk 10 whole miles, let alone in ATLANNA…the city of the most trying hills. sometimes I only see, feel, and hear the woman who was 145lbs heavier last year who would not have had a desire to do most of the things I’m doing today. I have been proving to myself that I CAN, I WILL, and I DO. As my potna always says: a slow roll is better than NO roll.

thank you @atlantatrackclub for creating such inclusive environments for runners, walkers, enthusiasts, professionals, and beginners to coexist and conquer courses in Atlanta. the accomplishment felt when crossing one of your finish lines and getting that gorgeous hardware placed around your neck is truly unmatched.

thank you @vibingwithashley for cheering for me, speaking life into me, and reminding me that I’m the biggest, baddest Peach in the South who can achieve absolutely anything if I believe. thank you @kennedyxsimmons for reiterating that it’ll ALWAYS be @milesoverexcuses & mind over matter! y’all played such a major part in me achieving this goal today and I am FOREVER grateful that this hobby has connected me with the greatest homies ever. 🫶🏽

🗣️OFFICIALLY A 10Miler Mami! Talk to me niceee! 🙌🏽

The Miles Over Excuses tee is more than a shirt it’s a mindset. Every mile represents discipline, every step represents progress, and every finish line proves what happens when you show up for yourself.

Stop talking about it. Put the work in. Let the miles speak.

MILES OVER EXCUSES. EVERY TIME. 🏁🏁🏁

New season. Same mission. 🍂🍁🍃

The miles don’t stop when the weather changes. We just adjust, lock in, and keep showing up.

Fall miles. No excuses.

Who’s ready to put in work this season? 👇🏾

Running isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it’s about learning to train smarter.

Going hard every run, skipping recovery, or increasing your mileage too quickly can make the journey harder than it needs to be.

We’ve all had to learn something along the way.

Which one have you been guilty of? Be honest. 👇🏾

Black runners. Black excellence. Brotherhood. Community. ✊🏿✊🏽✊🏾

We showed up. We ran together. We represented together.

That’s what Miles Over Excuses is about. But this past weekend was bigger than the race. It was about brotherhood, community, and showing love to the people running beside us.

Supporting Black runners. Supporting the culture. Supporting each other. 🏁🏁🏁 by @milesoverexcuses

Somehow walked away with 3rd place in my age group!🥉
Shoutout to everybody who showed up and finished. Always love seeing my people get to it🤝🏾 ✊🏾 by @milesoverexcuses

The hardest part isn’t always the run.

Sometimes it’s getting started. Sometimes it’s staying consistent. And sometimes it’s finishing when your body is telling you to stop.

Wherever you are in your running journey, what’s the hardest part for you?

Getting out the door, staying consistent, or finishing? 👇 by @milesoverexcuses
