From concept to installation — this is the full process behind how I create one of my large-scale commissioned works — building the custom wood panel canvas, creating the textures and paint, and bringing the piece to life layer by layer.

Couldn’t be happier with how this production turned out, and grateful for the clients who trust me to create pieces for their homes. @nowicki_cinematography went all in, working long hours side by side with me to capture the entire process from start to finish.

FACE 0064 | “When I’m 64”

After seeing my first Beatles piece, a client reached out with a story about her dad. Some of her favorite memories were of listening to 'When I'm Sixty-Four' from the Sgt. Pepper's album together in his truck.

That memory became the inspiration for this piece, with a nod to the cassette tape they used to play. It now hangs in a room dedicated to The Beatles, alongside her dad’s original albums from high school, still marked with his name across the backs.

It’s stories like these that make creating something personal so rewarding.

Form Meets Function.
The second commission for a client turned friend. This glass sliding door was challenging, but fun to create! Balance of privacy and light tailored exactly to the home’s aesthetic.

FACE 51 | “Sanctuary of the Strange”
A newly poured custom commission of the legendary Leon Russell. This piece blends a subtle version l of @cainsballroom / @thesoundponybar on Tulsa’s Main Street with a touch of stained glass paying homage to the historic @thechurchstudio :) I wanted to share this piece while waiting for the resin to fully cure so I can sand it and coat it in a matte finish before it heads to its new home!

FACE 0066 | “Faces of the Mother Road” is officially SOLD!

This piece found its home during @artsintulsa fantastic ARTini event, and the story behind it is a true full-circle moment.

Way back in the beginning of my art career, I was painting street art in a cold alley with nothing but a dream. That exact day in the alley is when I first crossed paths with a rad couple who walked by with their son and stopped to check out the art.

I still vividly remember that day because my fiancée showed up afterwards with our son, who wasn’t even a year old yet, breastfeeding and watching daddy paint. I remember telling her about the love shared by the beautiful family that had just passed by.

Fast forward to ARTini, I saw them again—and this time, they became the owners of FACE 0066! 🥹

When I went to hang the painting for them, @tonyamcquary apologized and said this is just a temporary spot in the husband’s newly built office above the detached garage while their home undergoes a complete rebuild. I told them not to worry at all—Route 66 is all about “Taking Care of Business,” and it lives there perfectly!

I am so incredibly grateful to these awesome people and great art collectors for welcoming my work into their lives.

Even better? This sale helped raise $4,000 for the Arts Alliance here in Tulsa.
