An ancient, faded xerox, flat-file find from 1989. A portrait of 3 Tyrannosaurids (names forgotten) for a Dinamation dinosaur publication long defunct.

Working for a living. 2006. Sculpting a quick turnaround, superhero costume for a TV show in the Philippines, where there are apparently lots of Teves' in the phone book.

In 1993 I painted a cover for issue #1 of an independent horror anthology comic published by Tuscany Press titled SYSTEM SHOCK. Within it's b&w pages, angry makeup FX artist Bruce Fuller drew a good impression of Berni Wrightson with his inked story.

Weird scenes inside the junk yard. Another dark entity designed and built for 'This Present Darkness' which sadly never saw the light of day.

A lot of art, makeup, and creature costumes were generated in the late 90s for 'This Present Darkness' before the plug was pulled, including this key frame I painted. Here our heroes narrowly escape the Hell-fire wrath of the demon Rafaar in an underground trainyard.

I created this crew shirt design for the inimitable Chris Gallaher and his crew, masters of makeup FX under pressure, to celebrate the creation of the wicked Dread Doctors for Season 5 of Teen Wolf. I worked as a sculptor and designer here and there for this show. Rarely have I had the pleasure of working with such a genuinely nice group of people, top to bottom.

A quick turn-around gig at Cannom Creations. I sculpted the 2 playful, male & female, latex alien masks worn by these 2 dwarves in a photo ad. Fingertip extensions from Brahm Stokers Dracula were repurposed on their little hands. Was it also a commercial? What was the product being endorsed? Was it a 'no-smoking in theaters' message? Only the mists of time remember.

Something wicked takes flight over Burbank as autumn approaches. A winged thing from the abandoned project 'This Present Darkness'. One of many demons designed for this cursed Chuck Russell project. Paramount put a ton of money into it, and the team at Cannom Creations had built almost all of the creature makeups and costumes before they chose to pull the plug at Christmas time and take the loss as a tax write-off, which was likely their intention from the get go, given the nature of the story. This town eh..?

Prusmacolor, marker and gouache.

More hand-made, concept illustration from the days before computers took over. A scan from a color Xerox (grrrr) of an acrylic painting, cranked out overnight at crazy, younger man speed for a long, lost Chuck Russell project in the 90s. My apologies for the clunky composition and stale fantasy tropes. Did I mention Chuck Russell was art directing me...?

A study in reflections. A blue alien I sculpted for IronHead Studio inside of the helmet from Goosebumps into which it was designed to live.

Skyrealms of Jorune. Heard of it? I'm not often one to toot my own horn, but I put a straightforward question to Google AI and received this amusing answer. Tho Grok had a somewhat more even-handed take. The penis mightier when it creates original images!

Supernova was his name. A giant robot whose design I took an early pass at while in the Art Dept of 'REAL STEEL' back in 2010. I think. A dreary experience with strange stories attached. Neither the director or 1st time production designer would provide me with any kind of answer when I repeatedly asked "who is actually building these robots, and what do they have at their disposal to make them?" as I tried to get a handle on what approach to take. You kinda need to know these things as they are actually part of the story.
