Healing begins when we have the courage to question not just individuals, but the systems that shape our practice.

To the new and the familiar faces here,

I think it’s time for a reintroduction.

My name is Mili M. Das, and I’m a therapist from Kerala, India. My work predominantly focuses on attachment, relationships, and the many ways our experiences shape how we relate to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us.

The person who started this page isn’t really here anymore.

In fact, even the therapist I was a year ago isn’t here anymore.

Over the years, my work has continued to evolve because I’ve continued to question, unlearn, and stay curious. Every client I meet, every experience I have, and every season of my own life has reshaped the way I understand what it means to be human.

While my foundation is in psychology, I’ve gradually moved beyond relying solely on conventional Western therapeutic models. As my work deepened, I found myself asking questions that theory alone couldn’t always answer. I wanted to better honour the cultural, relational, and systemic realities that both I and many of my clients have grown up within.

Today, my approach is deeply integrative.

Alongside psychological understanding, I also explore dimensions of human experience that aren’t always spoken about in conventional psychology…our different ways of processing emotions, making decisions, relating to ourselves and others, finding meaning, and the subtle experiences that people often describe as intuition, resonance, or energy.

I don’t bring these perspectives into therapy because I believe they are universal truths. I bring them because people make sense of their lives in different ways. Sometimes what helps someone move forward isn’t finding the truth, but discovering an understanding that feels authentic and meaningful to them.

Because of this, I don’t approach therapy with an agenda of fixing the reality of people or deciding who they should become.

Instead, I try to understand who they already are, how they naturally move through the world, and what might help them experience more freedom, connection, and self-understanding.

This page has evolved alongside me. taken in Kerala, India by @milimdashere

When women are taught to question themselves instead of the harm being done to them, self-blame becomes part of the conditioning.

It’s time we stopped asking survivors what they did wrong and started asking why abuse is still being excused.

Abuse and neglect are not relational problems to be solved through better communication or deeper understanding. They are forms of harm that deserve to be acknowledged for what they are.
