Vera Chidimma Okoh @chief_vera donates school uniforms to underserved children in Enugu state in order to promote literacy and boost self-confidence.
Vera Chidimma believes that every child deserves the right to education and should be educated in a decent uniform. Hence ’We're All Leaders’ project was initiated to help improve access to education and foster literacy among children in underserved communities who may not have access to education as a result of lack of one or more school supplies.
She undertook the project to donate decent uniforms for such kids. The project which commenced on 7th November until 3rd December 2019, had children in the Ogboli Awgu community of Awgu LGA of Enugu state as its first recipient.
She plans to reach out to other communities, as it's her hope that no kid be left behind in the race for literacy.
Sponsorships are welcome.

What makes your day fulfilled? Is it profits, good weather, ticking off your to do list or something else?
What makes mine includes some of these and putting smiles on people's faces, making sure I leave anyone I encounter a better person, giving hope and being the reason someone believes in humanity and says "Yes, I can" "I won't give up!
Yesterday was one of such days as I kicked off part of my pet project: clothing indigent kids in decent uniforms.

I was with some of the kids that would benefit from this scheme which has been made possible thru cheerful support of charitable men & women amongst us. Those I call my friends.
Some of these kids are orphans, some are kids from teenage pregnancies whose parent abandoned in the care of their aged grannies who can barely feed, in search of greener pastures or just away from stigma that comes with premarital sex & pregnancy, whereas some are from very indigent homes. All of them want a shot at education and a better future, but we can't let them continue in tattered wears and bare feet, hence this project.
Ifeanyi and his classmates were the first beneficiaries of this project. I was in their school last week when I met them and this week I returned with their new uniforms. You needed to see their excitement when they were dressed up in their uniforms.

Ifeanyi kept screaming 'Aunty, thank you' till I couldn't hear him any more, one of the girls, Esther, promised me she would come 1st this term & would keep her white sparkling. They felt transformed and now full members of the class, not as outcasts, as they previously felt.
All of these were possible because of you and your kind donations. Thank You so much.
Their prayers, those of their teachers and their parents who would be awed by this when they get home would not go to waste.

The new sets of kids would get theirs by next week, by God's grace and honestly, there are still more kids in clothes next to rags in school.
Can you spare this weekend's Sharwama, Point & kill for a child?
It will cost N5000 to clothe one of these kids, to tell him/her that humanity isn't all lost.
Can you do this for us, if you can kindly reach out to donate something. by @millenial_literacy

"𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 is the most powerful weapon which one can use to 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄 the 𝗪𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃' Neslon Mandela. ⁣
⁣
I'm a firm believer of the great opportunities that one meets through education. That's why I chose to campaign for education as a right for Children. ⁣
⁣
In support of this campaign, last year through friendly donations I was able to raise funds for Senior School Certificate Examination of kids from indigent homes in 𝐄𝐧𝐮𝐠𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 (pictured above are some of the beneficiaries from my church. There were many of them not pictured here)
⁣
These kids had the zeal to study but we're almost giving up and dropping out of school until you and I came through for them with assistance. Their chance at a great opportunity and better future was restored!⁣
⁣
I owe it to you all for your great assistance. As I am currently campaigning for good school uniforms, do not think for a second that you're crowd funding for me, or for my personal use. No! ⁣
⁣
Every penny realized from this goes straight to this project. I make sure of that and you too can demand for accountablility. ⁣
⁣
A big Thank You to those that have shown support so far. You don't how much ripple effect your wave is causing. Its impact can never be over emphasized. Thank You so much!⁣
⁣
Please be part of this.⁣
These kids may not be able to repay you or say thank you enough but your kind donation wouldn't go unrewarded! ⁣
⁣
Should you want to make an anonymous donation or⁣
You can pay in to 3316219017 (FCMB)
Note; a set of uniform costs N5000. You can support a child or more. ⁣
Thank you! .

CHI CHI of NNEWI
School Fees Season is upon us and for some kids, they have to play a role in raising money towards those fees.
Chi Chi is still in school, but during the holiday, she helps her mum with her book binding business.

When I asked her if her classmates are aware of her exceptional skills, she said that she has kept it away from them and have to go into hiding when she sees any of them walking past the shop.
For some kids, summer break is spent overseas, but she was happy to have spent hers helping her mother in the store.
Swipe to see her unedited smile. .

June 12 is World day against Child Labour. .
According to @unitednations , 218 million children between 5 and 17 years are in employment.
Among them, 152 million are victims of child labour; almost half of them, 73 million, work in hazardous child labour.
.
This data implies that these children lack access to quality education. .

@millenial_literacy believes every child should have access to quality education because it's a path to a bright and great future. .
Today I join the rest of the world in saying #nochildlabour

Dear Teachers,
How do you treat your students? Do you take time to evaluate them in other domains of learning, especially the affective? Are you just concerned on the cognitive alone, on their grades, when they turn in their assignments or what time they get into your class? .
Are these your only worries? If they are, you might need to rethink and considered other parts and features of your students.
.
These kids carry various emotions to class. Your job is to help then adjust properly and develop more positive emotions as humans and as students .
I ask again, How do you treat your students?
Get it right!

“My mother never had a mobile phone, she didn’t know what the Internet was. I showed her what I was doing at school with my tablet. She was so proud of me. My dream is to become a teacher and with what I am learning every day on my tablet, I am sure it can become a reality.” Waibai, 12, Cameroon.

This is a Nigerian classroom. I do not know the state. I advocate education for every child but no child deserves to learn in such a pitiable condition
.
A conducive learning environment is one of the major prerequisite for proper learning, yet these kids lack it! .
I'm hurt looking at them. Can you see their enthusiasm to learn, against all odds?
They deserve better! They deserve basic classroom facilities and a good learning environment!
.
These are the leaders of tomorow!

Every kid deserves a teacher like Sackey Percy.
Watch how he uses dance and other creative ideas to install confidence into his students! ---
Education is evolving from the old pedagogy and it's my hope that we get to this point in all schools and every child has a variety of strategy to learn and become better .
