Yesterday, my family and I just got back from the place where Millennial all started — Portland, Maine.

I woke up to friends telling me the news: the show I started in my closet 10 years ago had been voted as one of the “Greatest Podcasts of All Time” by 300 podcast creators, scholars, writers, and hosts thanks to @leftofdial_media.

Thank you. 🙏🏽✨🙏🏽

I appreciate everyone who listened to me speak my life into a microphone when I had no idea what I was doing during my darkest, weirdest, most life stretching moments — and who pushed play and trusted me to take them on a transformative journey. Boy was it a good one.

Coming back to the physical the place that holds so many memories for me and carve me into who I would eventually become is more than a true full circle moment.

I may just have to make an episode about it.

When it happened to me — my first instinct was to reach for the phone. I called up some friends for some guidance. And I ended up sitting across from Amber (@amberabundance) an artist, storyteller, and someone I went to middle school with. When I got laid off, she told me exactly what I needed to hear.
