Few experiences shape a surgeon more than learning from leaders who set the standard for excellence. We were fortunate to host Yan Chen, MD, PhD from China. One of the most rewarding parts of academic medicine is seeing former international visiting scholars thrive and lead. Last weekend in Neuss, Germany it was a true pleasure to see orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Max Petri (Germany, 2014–2015) hosting an international orthopaedic trauma congress. He brought together former international visiting scholars, who worked with Dr. Millett, Drs. Simon Euler (Austria, 2015–2016) and Uli Spiegl (Germany, 2013–2014) as invited faculty by @millettmd
