Premier with the loveliest bunch 💙 #boyswallowsuniverse comes out tomorrow! Millie, a white woman with brown hair and hazel eyes, stands on the red carpet at the premiere of Boy Swallows Universe. She wears a short blue dress, patterned with faint clouds and white platformed shoes. She also wears a necklace with a single pearl. by @millie.donaldson

I know it’s probably bad form, taboo, and egotistical to post these. But damn it I’ve worked so hard for this recognition. I’m not very good at reading when people are impressed by me or happy with my work (the wonders of autism) I often have to write down nice things people say to remember it. Otherwise my brain will warp it and convince myself I was remembering it wrong and it wasn’t as good as I made it out. To have this confirmation of hard work and talent in print means the world to me. Please continue to share with me your thoughts as you see the show, obviously I treasure them dearly. 💙💙💙 by @millie.donaldson

and just like that it’s over. I’m going to miss everyone who worked on this and everyone who came to the theatre. Oh, how I will miss Laura. A career defining role that has proved to me that there is a space for me on the stage and not only that I’m actually quite good at it. It means the world to have all your lovely comments in writing, anytime I doubt my ability I will be sure to read these. Very proud of myself and the whole crew nearly 50 shows! Partially blacking out on stage, a monster flu, seizures, an ear infection that still makes my ears spasm and so many dislocations. Pushing through it is not for everyone but I’m so proud of the fact that I was able to do every single without the audience knowing. Laura taught me that I may be fragile, but I’m not weak. Screw the endless list of health conditions, I now know that nothing can stop me performing. Thank you to @janinesnapecasting and Mark Wilson for making the effort to cast a real disabled person for Laura and letting me make such a unique Laura, concentrating on how her disability affects her. A dream job. by @millie.donaldson

Opening up The Glass Menagerie @melbtheatreco Thank you for all the love for my Laura so far, shes been crafted with so much love to give her the agency and internal world she deserves 📸 @piajohnsonphotography @tezzieyu A series of photos from The Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of the Glass Menagerie. The first photo features Millie Donaldson as Laura Wingfield, Alison Whyte as Amanda Wingfield, and Tim Draxl as Tom Wingfield sitting around the dinner table. The set resembles a drab tenement apartment, mostly in greyscale. by @millie.donaldson
