⏪⏪⏪ REWIND to the day before my #1yearsobriety I felt so emotional but I knew I was ready to tell my story. They don’t tell you how heavy these #transparency post are. #Transparencypost … Day 3️⃣6️⃣5️⃣ of no alcohol ‼️ While most can socially drink , many of us have addictions that have become the new “normal” or at-least that was the case for me. I had become an alcoholic, lost myself. I was still handling business but I couldn’t flourish, I was stagnant.. I got tired of myself. This isn’t a post that ends in me in church etc etc this wasnt easy (I have since got baptized with my kids). I tried to stop several times but after my last detox of 152 days I spiraled for another year. A lot of people don’t know if you detox & you go back to drinking your intake increases every time .. not one but I could shot down two bottles of Don Julio. I told God if I tried one more time & I couldn’t make it with just his help alone that I’d have to get to a rehab. 3 kids , 3 c sections , & this was the hardest thing to shake. A real demon. So for those 21 days straight of migraines, night cold sweats, shakes , & pneumonia/flu like symptoms. Thank you. To the Virtual AA groups I just sat in and never spoke just listened in. Thank you. To God I Thank You for always going exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or think. Lastly, most of these videos are spent with people I love & were really happy times some I was really depressed in. Hell I still have my days of wanting a sip but one thing for sure I refuse to do that to myself again , I can’t go back !! It’s on ME to get ME where I want to be. Growth is not a facade this is really me so 🥂 to more life 🫶🏾🤍✨. Check out your local sober bars for a vibe without alcohol. I sit here trying to find the words, and honestly… I can’t even put you into words. Nothing feels fitting enough for the woman you are.
