You have a little more time to clean out those closets! 👕♻️
We’ve extended the donation window for the Great Closet Cleanout through Wednesday, October 7 at 5PM.

If you have clean, gently used clothing for adults or kids or Halloween costumes you’re ready to pass along, bring them by the Mill Valley Community Center. It’s an easy way to clear out some space and give your clothes a second life right here in the community.

Then, on Friday, October 9 from 4-7pm, come back and browse everything that’s been donated. Everything is free, and you don’t need to donate anything to participate.

Afterward, stick around for a free outdoor showing of Coco from 7-9pm.

We could also still use a few more helping hands! Volunteer shifts are still available to help sort and organize donations. If you volunteer for 2.5 hours or more, you’ll get early access to the Closet Cleanout before it opens to everyone else.

So take another look through those closets, bring us what you’re ready to part with, and come see what you might find!

🎨 Calling local artists!

Do you have artwork you’d love to get out of the studio and in front of the community? The Mill Valley Arts Commission is currently accepting submissions for First Tuesday ArtWalk exhibitions in 2027/28.

Artists from throughout the Bay Area are invited to apply, with priority given to Marin County artists. Selected artists will have the opportunity to show their work at Mill Valley City Hall or the Mill Valley Community Center as part of our monthly ArtWalk.

We’re looking for 2D work of all kinds — painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, collage and more.

If you’ve been thinking about sharing your work with a wider audience, we’d love to see it.

♻️ Then, on Friday, October 9 from 4–7pm, everyone is invited to stop by the Community Center and shop the donated clothing and costumes...for free. No donation is required to participate.

While you’re here, stick around for a free outdoor showing of Coco from 7–9pm!
