It’s September which is S*icide prevention month. I saw some other people were brave enough to tell their stories - so I felt brave enough to tell mine.

And I don’t mean to post this for attention or for anyone to feel sorry for me - someone sharing their story made me feel brave enough to speak out. I hope me sharing my story will make someone else feel brave enough to tell theirs.

This only really scratches the surface to struggles I’ve faced but I wanted to really focus this on community and how together we can help one another. How music saved me and being a part of something changed my life for the better.

Just being there - seeing a friendly face at a gig - a simple “hey how are you doing” means more than you think. Providing a space for someone to be themselves even for a few hours can save lives.

Thank you for reading.

Aside from their immense talent, I can’t stress enough how genuine and kind each member is. It’s really a privilege to call them friends 💜

Been waiting for this night for ages and it definitely didn’t disappoint. It’s so empowering seeing so many people turn up in the scene especially to showcase such powerful women 🖤

Everyone listen to their new EP now ~ can’t wait for what the future has in store for you guys (we know it’s going to be amazing) 🤩

Getting to see @nocturnal.band again was so lovely - every time I see them they just get better and better (and they did a type o negative cover so that made my entire night ✨🖤) - and amazing to finally catch @bloodlament at a gig - what a voice omg!!
Both support bands were absolutely amazing 🤩

A year ago today we adopted Raven. 🖤

It’s impossible to put into words just how much she’s changed my life.

Being autistic, I often find social situations exhausting and working from home can feel really isolating. Raven has changed all of that - she fills the flat with company, routine, comfort and more laughter than I ever expected. Somehow she’s helped me feel more confident too, just by being my little shadow haha. And when I’ve been in pain or struggling with my mental / physical health - it’s almost like she knows and she’ll come and sit next to me.

People sometimes joke that “it’s just a cat”, but anyone who’s shared their life with an animal knows that’s never true. They become family.

I’m so grateful that we were given the chance to give Raven the forever home she deserved. And i love our little family :) by @millygrxy
