Dear Diary 📔;
Season 32. Chapter 32.. or 32 trips around the sun… well, I think you get the point. I just turned 32. 🎂✨

In my previous post, I tried to put into words how difficult the last couple of years have been. I’m struggling, but let me try by telling you the story of my last little adventure!

It took me to the Amalfi Coast in Italy with my best friends, Fredrik and Steven. 🇮🇹 Somewhere along that coastline, with Steven behind me on the Vespa, seeing Fredrik driving behind, “Sarà perché ti amo” playing at full volume from my speaker, and stops for pasta, peaches or a swim... I felt like myself again. 🛵

I wasn’t thinking about the next exam, what I needed to improve, or how much longer I had to go. I was just there. Laughing, singing, and enjoying being alive in a way I hadn’t in a while.

I think so much of my life has revolved around my education that I’d almost forgotten who I am outside of it. I’ve grown and changed in ways I’m proud of, but also in ways I’m still trying to understand. Sometimes it feels like I’ll have to get to know myself all over again. But in Italy, I realized that some of what I’d been missing was still right there. The part of me that’s spontaneous, funny, or even ridiculous, and happy is still there. I hadn’t felt that part of myself so clearly in a long time.

That realization was both comforting and painful. Because it made those days so beautiful, but coming back to my current reality was harder than I expected. Once I remembered how it felt to be that version of myself, I missed it even more.

With a little over six months left until graduation, I want to make more room for him now, too. I’m curious about who I’m becoming, and I want to bring more of the person I’ve missed along with me.

More time with friends. More adventures, familiar faces, and people I haven’t met yet. More days I enjoy while I’m living them, without counting down to whatever comes next! by @milo.bescher

Dear Diary 📔;
It’s been a minute, or well, 100 weeks, to be exact. That’s almost two years, which is honestly crazy. Even crazier? In fewer than 35 weeks, or 250 days… but who’s counting? I’ll walk across the stage, be hooded as Dr. Bescher, and receive my degree in Nurse Anesthesiology. Well… that’s the plan, at least. ✨

The past 100 weeks have been so difficult and it is hard to put into words. Resilience has a positive connotation and sounds beautiful, but while you’re in the middle of being resilient, it rarely reflect your feelings. It’s messy, exhausting, and filled with emotions that don’t fit into an inspirational quote.

But the closer I get to graduation, the more certain I become, that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. This is what I want to do. This is what I was meant to do. If I could choose all over again, I would choose the same path, I wouldn’t change a thing.

And somewhere between the long clinical days, endless studying, and simply trying to keep up with life, I’ve still been fortunate enough to squeeze in a few adventures.

These photos are from October and November 2025, when I spent an entire month in Thailand 🇹🇭. I reunited with my Thai bestie, @madambutter, and my best friend from Sweden, @fredrik91_ came along for the adventure. It was magical. 🏝️

There’s so much more I want to say, but I won’t be too ”långrandig” as one say in Swedish, so I’ll save the rest for another post… And just like that, 100 weeks became memories and finally the finish line came into view. 🫶🏼 by @milo.bescher

Dear diary 📔: Season 29 is a wrap, and what a way to close it! Season 30 began with real-life milestones—the start of my third decade. Seven years ago, Gabriel and I were two kids figuring out life, and I spent a couple of months in NYC before my last semester of nursing school. We walked across Bow Bridge in Central Park, and I said, “I love you” for the first time. He stayed silent, and my heart sank—but life’s funny like that. We still found our way to each other.

The day before my 30th, Gabriel planned a dinner, and we walked through Central Park with Fredrik, my best friend visiting from Sweden. We reached Bow Bridge again, and as we took pictures, a tiny remote-control car rolled up with three rose-shaped balloons, and music started playing. My heart raced as Gabriel got down on one knee, asked if I’d be his forever, and I said yes. And the ring? Perfect. 💍 He really understood the assignment.🫡

The next day, we celebrated my birthday, and I got an amazing gift I’ll share later. Now, it’s a whirlwind of studying, packing, and working over 100 hours this week. In 7 days, Gabriel and I will pack our lives into a car and drive across the country to start a new chapter in the desert near the west coast. 2.5 years of hard work ahead as I finish my Doctoral degree in Anesthesiology.

The biggest fear? Looking back with regret—but I refuse to let that happen. I’ve spent 30 years beating the odds with half a heart, and I plan to carry on through the decades, living life fully. I wake up every day grateful for this life, these moments, and the love around me.

Here’s to more heartbeats, adventures, and squeezing every drop out of this beautiful, messy, incredible life.

Cheers to 30 and the next chapter! 🥂 taken in Manhattan, New York by @milo.bescher

Dear Diary 📓,
It’s incredible to think we’re only halfway through season 29, and what an adventure it’s been so far!

This year has been filled with so much joy. I’ve spent amazing moments with Dad in Thailand, exploring new places and creating unforgettable memories. Reuniting with my best friends in Indonesia was a dream come true, and my recent summer weeks in Sweden, celebrating Midsummer and spending quality time with family, were simply magical.

At the start of 2024, I decided to take a leap of faith and applied to two Doctor of Nursing Practice in Anesthesiology programs. To increase my chances of being admitted, I signed up for full-time summer courses in chemistry and biostatistics. Just two weeks into the courses, an unexpected email arrived—an interview invitation from one of the universities!

Fortune favored me. I withdrew from the summer courses, received a full refund, and began preparing intensely for the interview. My aim was to secure a seat in the program on the spot during my interview. And guess what? I achieved it! I was offered a seat at the end of my interview!

Now, midyear, my plans have shifted dramatically. I start my program this Monday, and I’m gearing up for a move to Las Vegas, Nevada. The program spans three years, at the end of which I will graduate as a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Anesthesiology.

I’m approaching these three years with a new mindset. While I eagerly anticipate earning my doctorate and stepping into my role as an anesthesia provider, I’ve promised myself to live fully in the present and embrace every experience these years bring.

Too often, I’ve embarked on journeys focused solely on the end goal, missing out on the beauty of the present. This time, it’s going to be different.

I hope that you, who reads this, will join me on this exciting journey— after all I’m just a small-town boy from Sweden trying to pursue my dreams, which now happens to be to conquer one of most challenging nursing programs in the US.

And just like that, moments turn into memories, each day a new page in this unfolding adventure. Until the next entry, dear diary, I’m eagerly looking forward to what’s next!

Lots of love / Milo 🫶🏼 by @milo.bescher

Dear Diary 📔;
Can you even believe it? Season 28 wrapped up in October 2023, and bam! Season 29 burst onto the scene like fireworks on New Year's Eve. It's like I'm defying the norms of TV shows where the later seasons usually lose their mojo. Nope, in my world, it's a steady climb to greatness. (Can we forget about jantelagen for 2 seconds? 😤)

Life threw a curveball, flipping the script after Season 28's finale. No post-season lull for me – instead, I was thrust into the thrill of a brand-new season, complete with unexpected plot twists and drama dialed up!

First up, the academic triumph – I graduated from Karolinska Institutet in Sweden with my second master's degree, this time in medical science with a major in intensive nursing care. Then, the apartment hunt drama ensued. After a relentless StreetEasy stalking spree, I scored a 2-bedroom gem just 8 minutes north of my old place in NYC. Rent stabilized and almost 1000 sqf – all for a fraction of the cost (not even half of what we paid earlier). Talk about a plot twist that puts me and G in an epic financial position for some serious 2024 shenanigans.

Post-move, I dove headfirst into a job I can't spill the deets on – but trust me, it's exciting stuff! The best part of 2023? Hands down, the summer months. Yes, the back-and-forth flights between NYC and Sweden were exhausting, but the time spent with friends in both places was worth every jet-lagged second. Oh, and I picked up an analog camera, so here's to capturing memories in retro style. Scroll my carousel!

As I step into 2024, I'm buzzing with energy and excitement. I'm ready for whatever plot twists life has in store. I can't stress enough how much I'm loving my life right now – it's a pinch-me moment every second. I want to freeze time and live in this bliss forever, sign me up for a lifetime subscription, PLEASE!

And just like that, the echoes of laughter and the snapshots of analog memories become imprinted on my instagram. Until the next click of the shutter, until the next spontaneous adventure, dear diary, I'm eagerly waiting for what unfolds.

Lots of love/ Milo 💕 by @milo.bescher

Dear diary 📔;
As the lights of New York City twinkle outside my bedroom window, my heart is equally aglow with the joy of that my dad is now here in the city by my side.

Walking through Central Park, standing before the grandeur of Times Square, and sharing laughter over a Brooklyn 🍺 – these moments have etched themselves into the album of my memories, all with my dads name written beside them.

Thank you Dad, for crossing oceans and bridging miles to be here. I'm reminded that life's most beautiful journeys are the ones with your loved ones, hand in hand.

And just like that, as we savor these precious memories, I can't help but dream of our next adventure together. by @milo.bescher

Dear diary 📔; Sweden, my beloved home, you have given me so much. You have bestowed upon me a sense of belonging, a nationality that I wear with pride, and an identity so deeply rooted. Your embrace has gifted me cherished memories and nostalgic moments.

You provided me with a foundation, a sturdy ground upon which I built my dreams and aspirations. It was within your borders that I discovered my passions, nurtured my talents, and learned the value of hard work and perseverance.

During these past two weeks that I spent in Sweden, I had the opportunity to reconnect with my roots and collect even more precious memories. From strolling along the picturesque streets of Stockholm to immersing myself in the breathtaking beauty of its nature.

Erik Hassle's words; ”you don't know what you've got 'til you're missing it a lot" - perfectly encapsulate the overwhelming emotions that consume me as I depart from Sweden.

And just like that, life lessons and a trail of memories that sparkle like the lights of New York City, where I now find myself once again, are all woven into the tapestry of my being. taken in Sweden by @milo.bescher

Dear diary 📔;
It has been far too long since I last poured my thoughts onto paper, or rather, tapped away on my iPhone screen. Two whole years have passed since my last post, and oh, how life has unfolded in ways I never could have anticipated. So much has changed, and yet, in the heart of it all, nothing’s really changed.

The last year I've had my fair share of ups and downs. Life has a way of throwing unexpected curves at you, and I've navigated my fair share of twists and turns. In 2022, I made the daring move to the concrete jungle they call New York City. This transition proved to be an emotional whirlwind, akin to a hurricane sweeping through my very core. It's that familiar tale of chasing your dreams, only to discover that reality didn't align with your expectations - and the subsequent void of uncertainty, not knowing which path to tread next. Nevertheless, here I stand, poised amidst the chaos, ready to confront whatever challenges lie ahead.

I've missed sharing my thoughts and experiences, documenting the lessons I've learned along the way. Life, itself, is a constant source of inspiration, and I want to capture those moments, those stories, and share them with the world.

So, dear diary, here's to new beginnings, to rediscovering the magic of photos, videos, words and to embracing every aspect of this crazy, beautiful life. I'm back, and just like that, the story continues.

/ Milo

Dear diary✍🏼; Almost a month has already past here in the US. The 10th of August 2022 was the day when me and @gtiedtke became green card holders, permanent residents of the United States of America. It’s scary how fast time as passed by recently. The first couple of weeks here in the USA 🇺🇸 has been challenging, we’ve found ourselves always in a catch 22 kinda situation when it comes to IDs, phone numbers, drivers license etc. However, now, when almost all of that is sorted out I feel like we are able to start enjoying after work hours! This weekend we went to Philadelphia to shop at IKEA and sightseeing. Thank you for wanting to follow me on this crazy ride 🎢! taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @milo.bescher

Dear diary 📔; This trip started out kinda crazy. I forgot return my friend @fredrik91_ keys after I’ve left his apartment for Arlanda. Half way to the airport I said to the taxi driver “sh*t, we gotta go back”, I returned his keys and I was on my way to Arlanda again. Being late and all I had to run to my gate while they were calling “ Milo Bescher to Gate 69 “ repeatedly all over the airport. With a 5 min margin I made my flight. After 2 days in bangkok, one of them in quarantine , one with my friend @madambutter I flew ✈️ down to koh samui 🏝. Yesterday I arrived at Koh Tao a tiny island that I will spend at least a month on 😇🏝 taken in Woodlawn Villas Resort, Koh Tao by @milo.bescher

Dear diary 📔; Time passes by so quickly and I’ve already been a month in Spain 🇪🇸 on this beautiful island 🏝 Tenerife. I’ve got the chance the experience the whole island and its magnificent nature. Gabriel and I were also lucky enough to meet @glenforrd that knew the island well and took us to the best restaurants on the island. He also joined us on multiple day trips, for example to Mount Teide which is the third worlds highest volcano. We went up approximately to an altitude about 2700m but couldn’t make it to the top. But the view was amazing anyways 😇✨ taken in Mount Teide Tenerife by @milo.bescher
