Playing around with Maggot Brain by Funkadelic, please ignore the Mayer faces… In 1971, high on LSD, band-leader George Clinton told guitarist Hazel during the recording session to play as if his mother had just died. In one take, Hazel created a masterpiece. The tragic irony is that Hazel died from internal bleeding as a result of his drug abuse. His mother then went on to play Maggot Brain at his funeral. #guitarsolo #funkadelic #bussdown by @miloguitarr

Flamenco feels like starting anew with a different instrument. From grasping rumba rhythm to tiny Paco de Lucía-esque picado adjustments, the genre has blown me away with its fun and complexity. And although the Spanish Guitar Centre in Bristol may have closed a few years ago, the city remains constantly bursting with live world music to experience. Anyway, watch my immensely kind + ridiculously talented friend and mentor Cuffy (go watch his gigs) tryna convince me it’s easy… One day! ❤️💃 taken in Bristol, United Kingdom by @miloguitarr
