Fresh, cathartic, frenetic and joyous. 10 year hiatus and then just like that @burakaofficial were back, tearing it up in Burgess Park just like in Fabric way back. Thank you @southlondon.miniteca ❤️ taken in Burgess Park by @milosteelefox

Couldn't be more grateful and in awe. Older brother Ed donated a kidney to our younger brother Leo last week, and they are both doing great and recovering well.

So proud of them for getting through it, and so deeply thankful to the team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham that took care of them, and to mum and Becky and all the family support all over the shop, and for the outpouring of love and well wishes. What a journey, and what a new chapter ❤️

The world could evidently do with more love right now, and there's a little more coming from our dear friend @lewisrobinsonmu who runs the label @maisumdiscos, who's putting on a fresh new party at Walthamstow Trades Hall (@tradese17) on Sat 1st Feb.
•
Bringing some extra colour over from Brazil we've had the pleasure of printing a bunch of these little guys for a bit of decor, being the iconic artwork created by the brilliant @ygormarotta - valeu rapaz!

Pls see the Mais Um copy below for more info and context!

JANA SALEH is an active member of the Beirut DJ scene, with more than a decade of playing in clubs and parties in Lebanon, the Levant + Europe. Her DJ sets promote sounds and music from the SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) region. 🔈🔈🔈LINK IN BIO FOR DJ MIX 🔈🔈
•
LEWIS MAIS UM is the founder of Mais Um, a label/promoter that has championed artists from the Global South who fuse genres since 2010 🔈🔈🔈LINK IN BIO FOR DJ MIX 🔈🔈
•
ABOUT THE PHRASE ‘MAIS AMOR POR FAVOR’: ‘More love please’ was a response by Brazilian artist @ygormarotta to “the aggressiveness, social indifference and speed that characterizes a metropolis like São Paulo”. In the mid 2010s his posters - such as the one we are using in this post – appeared across the city. At a time of increasing divisiveness within Brazil’s political climate, this phrase gained popularity and became an emblem of hope and resistance.
•
ABOUT THE CLUB ‘MAIS AMOR POR FAVOR’: The best club nights are the ones where we can’t predict what the DJ is going to play next. Jana Saleh and Lewis Mais Um are this type of DJs. Come dance with us with an open, inquisitive mind - and love in your hearts (link in bio to hear mixes from both).

Oh my days, I've seen a lot of gigs and lightshows and lasers in my time, but @corneliusofficial was simply something else. Utter barrage of the senses, in the best possible sense

Rumble in the Jungle @rematchlive... quite simply off the hook. A thoroughly fabulous reimagining of the classic bout between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. Easily one of the best pieces of immersive theatre I've had the pleasure of being immersed in 🤜👊🤛 taken in Rumble in the Jungle Rematch by @milosteelefox
