The United Greek Council at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee recognizes and honors Indigenous Peoples Day.🧡

Indigenous Peoples Day was created to celebrate the rich history and culture of Native Americans, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians.

We acknowledge Milwaukee is on the traditional homelands of the Potowatomi, Ho-Chunk, and Menominee nations.

Today and everyday, let’s honor, uplift, and celebrate indigenous people. by @milwaukee_ugc

In late May, the United Greek Council held a beach social where we grilled food, played games, and held a paddle exchange! ☀️⛱️

We at the United Greek Council hope everyone is having a fun, and relaxed break from classes and can’t wait to see everyone return for the fall! 💛

The United Greek Council Would like to share with you the paddles that were made for our Executive Board Paddle Exchange! 💛

We have started a tradition in our council to pass down a paddle to the person who has the position after you! Representing the passing of knowledge!

In return the person who received a paddle has to give one back! Representing the giving back to those who taught you!

Student excellence Awards! 🌟

With the reactivation of this council in Fall 2025,
We are thrilled to announce that the United Greek Council has been recognized as the recipient of the Inclusive Impact Award at the UWM Student Excellence Awards! 🏆

We are also proud to celebrate our council president, Laiza Esparza, as a nominee for Outstanding Undergraduate Student and Student Organization Leader of the Year.

In addition, we recognize Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. as a nominee for Student Organization of the Year, and Lambda Phi Epsilon International Fraternity Inc. as a nominee for Emerging Student Organization.

The Inclusive Impact Award honors a student organization that has championed inclusivity through its programming, policies, and practices. This recognition reflects our council’s dedication to fostering diverse representation, hosting inclusive events, and modeling behaviors that promote belonging within our council and across campus.

As we celebrate this achievement, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Student Excellence Awards committee for recognizing the work and heart our community puts into everything we do. This honor motivates us to continue striving toward excellence, strengthening our impact, and uplifting the voices and cultures that make our community so vibrant.

Here’s to continued growth, collaboration, and inclusive leadership, we are just getting started. by @milwaukee_ugc

This month the UW-Milwaukee United Greek Council Celebrated the 10 year Anniversary since our council was formed! 🥳

We wouldn’t be the council we are today without the following founding organizations!

-Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc.
-Latino America Unida, Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity Inc.
-Omega Delta Phi Fraternity Inc.
-Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc.
-Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority Inc.

During the event we spent time playing games, eating food, and had a cake to celebrate the occasion! We showed that the Greek unity is still strong since our council was formed! Happy birthday UGC and to many more years of Greek Unity! 🎂🎉
