This one was special. A full circle moment to one of my fav NCOs from when I just a baby soldier & a little rough around the edges lol. I was cooking even then on my little barracks stove top and always brought something to the company functions, anxiously waiting for her reviews lol she didn’t know it then but I really valued her opinion. she was stern but always kind to me and for her to ask me to cater her daughter’s sweet 16, almost 14 years later is such an honor. Yall looked absolutely stunning and the entire event was so beautiful!! Thank you 🥹🙏🏾🥰🤗
& also thank you to my fav sous chef @_latasia19 for helping me!! I couldn’t even get half of the content I wanted because it was so much goin on. I couldn’t have done it without you 💚

Jr wanted lasagna…again 🤷🏾‍♀️
I packed it with some extra veggies for added flavor and nutrition for my parents who need ways to sneak them in 😉

Lightly season your veggies of choice to include Roma tomatoes, onions, & garlic w/ salt & pepper and coat with avocado oil.
Roast at 425 degrees for about 30-45 min.
Combine roasted tomatoes, onions and garlic in food processor and add to cooked ground beef along with additional, organic tomato sauce of choice

Roasted Red-Wine Cajun Style lasagna Roll ups. Yes, this method takes a little more time but this is how I like to make lasagna. You end up using less ingredients by eliminating all the additional layering.

I started off planning a fancy dinner for just my kids but was joined by our family friends at the last minute. My sis is a doctor so it’s hard to plan hang outs around our busy schedules so this was such a pleasant surprise 🥰 A time was had and the kids slept real good the next day lol
I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day💕

On the menu
♥️Mussels baked in Roasted tomato and white wine
♥️Garlic Bread
♥️Smoked Gouda Mac
♥️Black truffle ribeye + chimichurri
♥️Grilled shrimp
♥️Grilled Chicken w/ white wine coconut sauce
♥️Seasoned Brussels with w/ balsamic glaze
♥️Homemade Coconut+ Vanilla cake w/ fresh strawberries and low fat cream cheese frosting
♥️Chocolate covered strawberries
♥️Congolese beignets
