Change at sea

Glass, like the sea, is a mystery. Made from sand, moulded by fire, smoothed by water. @mimlysk creates sustainable jewellery that captures glass’ unique beauty. Her pieces can be endlessly recycled, just like the material itself.

This shoot explores the idea of transformation: as the sky shifts from blue to purple, the waves continuously ebb and flow. Both the ocean and glass evolve with time and environment, proving that beauty often comes from change.

The sea moves and reshapes, sometimes calm and sometimes forceful, both beautiful and intimidating.

Glass shares the same dualities; it is strong yet delicate, it can both cut when broken or be handcrafted into an intricate piece of vibrant jewellery.

Last week I received a surprise gift from @mimlysk - My very own, one of a kind scrunchie pendant inspired by my painting "Juniper Bloom". I almost cried 😭💖
I sometimes get to work for Emily modeling her beautiful accessories but to have wearable art inspired by my own art is so so special. I can't thank you enough 😭😭😭😭.
