Huge CONGRATULATIONS to our gorgeous friend @georgiapolitis.photography on her Exhibition tonight called “DIVERCITY SERIES 2” an amazing project that she started a while back, this connects communities, telling our stories through photography and shows the love for people who grow up in Darwin or arrived to Australia as migrants. Georgia brought beautiful fabric from talented @mimmimdesign in mustard yellow and it was an amazing fabric to work with. Like a hot cake this dress left the sewing room yesterday afternoon ready to wear for the BIG Monday night! Georgia, we are all so proud of you 👏 you did an amazing job. ✨ A very special moment - showcasing 10 runway looks featuring my original artwork and printed fabrics on the Timeless Threads runway for NAIDOC Week 🖤💛❤️

I’m grateful to @kingkingcreative for organising this beautiful event and inviting me to showcase my work. It was such a proud and memorable night 🙏🏽

A big thank you to everyone who helped bring it all together - the designers, models, model mentors, makeup artist, DJ, photographer, stallholders, helpers, and the incredibly supportive crowd. It was especially beautiful to have some of my family modelling my pieces on the runway. 🥰 My beautiful granddaughter also opened the evening with a Welcome, and my daughter was the events planner. ✨

It was also a bit of fun getting to strut down the runway myself! 😄✨
