For the month of September into October, @mimosaa.paris will be in residence at Le Seize Bar, 16 Rue Pastourelle, 75003 Paris.

Hello! I’m Victoria, the creator and founder of Mimosaa Paris. Let me tell you a little bit about who I am and what Mimosaa is.

Franco-Americaine, originally from Nebraska (USA) I moved to Strasbourg, France on a solo study abroad at 20-years-old. The program I chose was an intensive French-language and cultural immersion to support and jumpstart my education in International Business (and to fulfill the 🥂France✨ dream I’d had since a child).

During my study abroad year, I fell even more in love with the language and culture, and decided to stay. Though I’d come for school, I was now faced with a problem : I needed a job, urgently. I jumped into freelancing as I cleared my work visa, building my career as an entrepreneur : voice-acting, translations, English classes, and, of course, babysitting. Any freelancer will tell you, moving to a new city with no network and expecting to succeed right away is next to impossible.

I quickly understood how important connections are, the quality relationships with my clients that, in turn, lead to recommendations. As an independent, being a reliable, trusted professional is essential to success.
However, it takes while to build on your own. Hours of your week spent communicating on projects with clients only to have them ghost you, the endless search and outreach while trying not to sound like a scammer, building a solid network and professional connections, and all the while doing self-promotion on socials.

To my point, if you don’t have a solid base, it takes a while to build. It was on this principle that I created Mimosaa : a curated network of independent professionals in Paris. We bring together talented creatives and independent professionals and help them grow through visibility (socials, promotion), introductions (networking, member events), collaborations and business opportunities (projects with clients or other members).

The ultimate goal? To build a solid reputation and generate constant business opportunities for our members.
