8 weeks of learning how to be your mama, while learning you at the same time.

It’s been a tough journey — the sleepless nights, endless feeds, crying, exhaustion, and days where I questioned if I was doing any of this right. Some days I felt like I was barely surviving.

But in between all the hard moments, there has been so much beauty. Your tiny smiles, little hands, milk-drunk faces, contact naps, and watching you slowly become more you every day. 🥹

You’ve taught me a kind of patience, strength and love I never knew I had. I’m still figuring it out, but we’re growing together, one day at a time.

8 weeks ago, you changed my whole world. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has been beautiful — and I wouldn’t trade these 8 weeks for anything. 🤍

Grateful to be a woman 🌹

I kept putting off my maternity shoot for the longest time because of my skin condition, but one day I woke up and thought — fcuk it, just do it. So thankful to the incredible team who brought my vision to life and made me feel beautiful through it all. All this done within a short period of time and an iPhone.

This term of Old School was all about quality of movement and learning to feel comfortable in your own skin. To me, Old School is about creating picturesque moments — being aware of the shapes we create, the face card we serve, and the way we connect with the audience through movement.

Watching these girls go from “I don’t like how I dance” to “I actually like the shapes I make” has been such a big win for me. Sometimes we get so focused on dancing exactly like our teachers that we forget we *can* move differently, and that’s where our own style and shape begin to shine.

And honestly, it doesn’t always have to be hard tricks to look good. Making a simple beginner move look sexy, intentional, and effortless can be one of the hardest things to do.

Getting emotional because this is my last term teaching before I go on a little break 🥹 Thank you for spending these past 7 months dancing with me, ladies and gent. Mama is forever grateful for all of you. Pole has kept me grounded, humbled, and sane through every part of this pregnancy journey. 🤍 by @mimzzlee

Sometimes progress can feel brutal.
There are days where your brain remembers exactly how a move should feel… but your body just isn’t cooperating the same way. Strength feels different. Balance feels different. Even familiar movements suddenly feel unfamiliar. And if I’m honest, that can be frustrating.

Lately my practice has felt a lot like going through the 5 stages of grief before eventually landing on acceptance.
But it’s also been a reminder that progress isn’t always about pushing harder. Sometimes progress is learning to slow down.
To listen to your body.
To give yourself grace.

For me, this season looks a little different because my body is currently growing a tiny human while I’m still showing up to pole. So yes, progress looks different right now.
But it still counts.

Hitting the halfway mark of pregnancy has me feeling all kinds of emotions.

Some days I’m strong and unstoppable, other days I’m soft and a little overwhelmed. But lately, it feels like I’m rediscovering love over and over again — with myself, and with this tiny human growing inside me.

Pregnancy has a funny way of humbling you.
It slows you down, softens you, and reminds you that not everything needs to be rushed or controlled.

For someone who’s always been fiery, passionate, and a little stubborn about doing things my own way… this journey is teaching me a different kind of strength — grace, patience, and a deeper kind of self-love.
And to my little one — you’re already changing me in ways I never expected, and we’re only halfway there.
