Type 01 : Pendulum Truss / @min_chang1994

This proposal applies architectural truss structures and Tuned Mass Dampers (TMD) to furniture scale to create innovative storage solutions. The Pendulum Truss, a steel structure as tall as an adult, consists of three floors within a confined space. It uses truss organization and centrally placed straps and weights to stabilize the tall, thin column. The furniture-scaled TMD system serves as a partition, enabling various storage options for small objects in limited spaces.

Object·M Table Clock

The Object·M Table Clock is designed with a structure where a 1T aluminum panel is bent to encase the movement. Through anodizing, the material’s inherent properties and substance are fully revealed. The sanded matte metal panel, paired with glossy M3 fastening components, emphasizes structural details. This design achieves a clean yet striking visual harmony, highlighting the contrast and sculptural beauty of the materials.

BKID[@bkid.co] has designed the "Dot Hanger," a versatile hanger product that can be used both horizontally and vertically. The main feature of this product is to bring a playful experience to the user, creating a sense of rhythm in the act of hanging clothes. The initial design concept was inspired by the visual of musical scales arranged rhythmically on a staff, allowing users to freely adjust the “beats” of different clothing items.

In collaboration with RARERAW, we developed the "Dot Hanger" rail system. With this system, we aim for users of RARERAW furniture to feel a sense of curiosity and enjoyment, as they naturally interact with and rearrange the design elements according to their personal preference. by @min_chang1994

BKID가 AI-Driven × Digital Fashion Footwear Workshop을 진행했습니다.

이번 워크숍에서는 AI를 단순히 이미지를 생성하는 도구로 사용하는 것을 넘어,
디자이너가 직접 새로운 디자인 방법과 도구를 구축하고 활용하는 과정에 집중했습니다.

Vibe Coding을 활용한 커스텀 디자인 툴을 통해
패턴과 컬러, CMF를 실시간으로 탐색하고,
생성된 디자인을 종이 전개도로 출력해 직접 조립하며
Digital → Physical로 이어지는 디자인 프로세스를 경험했습니다.

디지털 환경에서 빠르게 아이디어를 확장하고,
이를 다시 손으로 만들고 확인하는 과정.

AI가 디자인을 대신하는 것이 아니라,
디자이너가 더 많은 가능성을 탐색할 수 있도록 디자인의 영역을 확장하는 방법을 함께 실험했습니다.

AI-Driven × Digital Fashion Footwear Workshop

As part of the 2026 Shenzhen & Milan Lifestyle Week in Shenzhen, China,
BKID conducted the AI-Driven × Digital Fashion Footwear Workshop.

Rather than using AI simply as a tool for generating images, the workshop explored how designers can build and shape their own creative tools and workflows.

Using a custom design tool developed through Vibe Coding, participants explored patterns, colorways, and CMF variations in real time, then translated their digital outcomes into printable paper structures and assembled them into physical footwear prototypes.

From digital exploration to physical making, the workshop examined how AI can expand the designer’s ability to iterate, experiment, and evaluate ideas.

AI does not replace the designer.
It expands the space in which designers can explore.

Nonagon Tray / 2023
4 Objects from Onyang Folk Museum

Nonagon Tray는 온양민속박물관이 소장한 전통 모반에서 출발한 생활 오브제입니다.

음식이나 술을 나르던 팔각형 모반의 구조를 현대적인 구각형 프레임으로 재해석하고, 바닥면을 비워 테이블 위의 물건을 구획하고 정돈하는 역할에 집중했습니다.

전통 기물의 기능을 그대로 재현하기보다, 단순화된 형태와 새로운 비례를 통해 현대적인 실내 환경에 어울리는 오브제로 번역했습니다.

Nonagon Tray is a contemporary object inspired by the traditional Moban from the Onyang Folk Museum.

The original octagonal tray, once used to carry food or drinks, was reinterpreted as a refined nine-sided frame. By removing the base, the object focuses on creating a simple boundary for arranging and organizing items on a table.

Rather than reproducing the artifact’s original function, it translates its form and structure into a contemporary living object.

BKID reinterpreted four artifacts from the Onyang Folk Museum as contemporary living objects.

Traditional wooden and earthenware forms were translated into plastic and industrial ceramics, with simplified geometry and proportions suitable for wider production.

The collection transforms Mokan into a decorative Plastic Bird, Jarabyeong into a horizontal Turtle Vase, Moban into a frame-like Nonagon Tray, and Juryeonggu into a versatile 14 Face Dice.
