What a wonderful #BlueSunday celebration with my dear friends in @meactionga today! First I received amazing chocolate cookies from @coryanderson_ of @babydeerbakery - the best chocolate cookies I have ever had! Thank you, Cory! Then, because the @meactionga event was virtual as well as in person, I was able to be a part of the event from my bed in my blue nightgown. The highlight of the event was @maggieboxey’s brilliant TEDx talk, “I Am One of the Millions Missing”, available on YouTube. Thanks to all who made this wonderful day possible!

I am nominating Philly Phavorite @dralastanford to join the fight against #GreatestMEdicalScandal!!! I am a big fan of you and your work focused on equity and racial justice in medicine in Philly—and beyond!

As advocates like @chimereladawn and @minadjenkins have highlighted time and again, Black Americans with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME or ME/cfs) have an even harder time getting a diagnosis and any help from doctors. We need doctors like you, Dr. Stanford, to combat this scandal within a scandal.

Most of our community are not well enough to protest on the street but we are making our voices heard from our beds about why cuts to ME/CFS research funding is so devastating to our community. I am so honored by this award carrying my name! Many thanks to my dear @meactionga friends! My hope is that, when you see this award, you will remember the many advocates who have fought for justice for decades for those living with #MECFS as well as all of those who continue the fight. Most people know @meactnet as a strong advocacy and activist organization that stands up for people living with #MECFS. What people may not know is what kind and supportive friends they are, both in my state group, @meactionga, and in the larger ME Action community. This has been a very difficult time for my family and me, but my dear ME Action friends have had my back.

These delicious blueberry muffins and egg bites were carefully baked to adhere to my diabetic restrictions by ME Action GA’s @coryanderson_ of @babydeerbakery. Everything that she bakes is delicious!

Our dinners have been a gift from @meactionga and the wider ME Action community who ordered from my favorite restaurant, @maepole_ , that specializes in healthy, tasty, natural meals.

I am feeling very loved, well fed and grateful!
