We’ve returned to our 1722 stomping grounds and are so thrilled to highlight @rivsntings & @world_of_rau , multidisciplinary artists and founders of the Bay Area label, @joogmusic

As labelheads, Rivs & Rau have gathered a sonically expansive roster of bass & breaks artists, creating an ingenious and ill collection of sounds we’ve endorsed from the very beginning of this party series. Definitely start with the For the Low (End Lovers) compilations if you're not already on the Joog train.

As a producer, Rivs crafts albums giving introspective 90's Jungle Tekno Compilation energy, fresh & low-slung R&B reworks, and lighthearted yet heavy-hitting throttlers for the dancers who like to get kinda wild.

Rau, taking creative lead with Joog’s graphic design, has lent their critical ear and had a significantly illuminating impact on Rivs’ productions. They’ve begun to join Rivs as a fellow DJ, and when we asked Rivs which Joog artist would be an ideally accompanying fit for this show, Rau was his first and unquestionable choice.

Despite the PST to EST distance, Joog has played a truly major role in stoking the flames of 160 festivities within Baltimore City. This label has provided a production platform for two of our residents, @poutysrage @killteamscx , shared their well of adroit, inescapably catchy bass & breaks tunes, and is run by two hella talented & upstanding humans.
Deciding on a meaningful and slamming summertime featured artist was pretty clear here

We are turning 2 and It's time for another double trouble anniversary show
👯🏻‍♀️🎉🎉😈😈💥💥🔥⚡️✨️🔥❤️‍🔥🎆
But yall know we like to go the fk off around this time of year. As if our bday wasn't enough we have the honor and pleasure of collaborating again with the stratospherically top-shelf dance music vanguard known as @moveltraxx 🌌🌌🌌

So nice he had to do it twice, @djmanny_music is returning to Baltimore -- but this time with his longstanding collaborator and fellow footwork pioneer @djphil312 .
Having helped shape the sound of footwork and era of Double Cup, released inescapably infectious @moveltraxx EPs such as Boarding Pass : Prelude to the Flight, and graced the UK with his finely cut & masterfully crafted 160 blends, we are so blessed to host an absolute legend in our fair city.
Chicago will most definitely be in the warehouse as these two aficionados
spin a very special b2b set that footwork lovers of all depths will not want to miss.

Moveltraxx Baltimore liaisons @grifter160 x @scarlett_star777 , minced main @pmmaire , recently internationally-acclaimed residents @_kadeyoung and @poutysrage , and local vicious mixtress @trinityforeverandever will round out this mainfloor Graffiti Warehouse lineup.

Bonus curations by @ericsudol , DJ Dementia, Nader, and Alberto Lucini will also be booming in the hidden pockets of the warehouse.

As a resident of the NYC-based queer collective @xoxanyc she's been known to tear up dance floors in the underground & queer scene all over the city. Having played numerous renowned NYC venues, international clubs, and our city's very own Club 1722, she's so excited to be back in Baltimore with fresh blends and a new EP - BODY BIONICS released on Starry Records.

On local support, residents @pmmaire @poutysrage and @_kadeyoung will be spinning only the finest 160+ gems, and Bmore legends @lcat7.77 and @jayswann_ will be throwing down everything from jungle, tekno, ghettotech, booty speed bass, and more.

May 9th was truly cinematic, with so many members of the Bmore visual art & dance music community coming together it's safe to say this was our most intricate and fiery minced to date💮♨️💥

Thank you all for such a joyful and pure minced x @moveltraxx showcase,
thank you for giving our guest and blazing footwork icon, @djmanny_music a proper idea of how we get down in the 410. We caught some of his cheeky yet lethal lyrical selections on video but those blends unrecorded were truly for the gods

Hii final retroactive post for a minute, but we couldn't fail to acknowledge our junglist guests from across the pond. As the 1st feature of our doubleheader weekend, @petecannonmusic (and his dad) graced @thecompoundbaltimore and un-repentant amen madness ensued. Huge thx to @poutysrage and @rivsntings for bringing this show to fruition✨️

Very honored to be collaborating with Baltimore's premiere 160bpm party @minced160 on two stops on @rally_nyc's WRONG TURN TOUR with @s_l_o_w_r_o_l_l_a & @amitamarsanto. We're bringing speed demons @poutysrage and @pmmaire over to NYC THIS SATURDAY at @moodringnyc before making a post-vday stop in Baltimore next Saturday 💫

Jungle, DNB, footwork, juke, and club hybrids are definitely not unheard of in Baltimore's dance music scene, but as far as PMMAIRE could discern there was no actively running night dedicated to elevating this fleet-footed mixture.

Back in spring 2023 she pitched the idea of minced to a few close friends and collaborators as ‘Baltimore's night of 160+ dance music' and has been throwing bi-monthly parties since December 2023.

There is no overarching high bpm superiority intended, she and her fellow selectors just believe in nurturing a dance music culture that brings light and accelerated rhythms to a city founded on the pillars of timeless and groovier midtempo blends. The series is designed to embolden producers and DJs in their speedier and off-kilter 160+ hybrid expressions whether they are signed international talent, local deck wizards, or a glimmering and prominent out of state guests. With massive thanks to minced's 2024 bookings and personnel, vivacious, brisk, and at times rowdy sets graced numerous floors for the DMV's high bpm enthusiasts. PMMAIRE only aims to advance this positive momentum and seek fresh, intentional outlets that will foster minced's growth in the years ahead.

The WRONG TURN TOUR features 3 stops, and we are fortunate enough to both

For both dates we'll be alongside the brilliant rally selector and co-curator @amitamarsanto and the tour's highlighted sonic force @s_l_o_w_r_o_l_l_a . Lateee to the 2024 recap party ~

But we've still been processing the doubleheader weekend and have a double-take booking in the works for next month (more on that very soon🌀🌀)

December was an insanely dense time for us but yall showed out and made both events feel cozy, bumping, and kind of outrageous. Thank you to all the DJs, personnel, and jungle/club freaks on the floor who made our anniversary programming so rowdy and beamingly memorable. Thank you to all the DJs, personnel, and dancers who've supported us in the formative whirlwind that was 2024. Whether a given event landed smoothly or with turbulence, we aimed to take adaptive notes for the future while still receiving the effervescent air of each minced party.

You may already know about @midnightclubcollective and their running impact on the Baltimore club music scene over these past 5-6 years.

But if you need a quick fill-in, the MCC has been an integral part of Charm City's modern musical fabric between their residency and event curations at the Crown, original productions and remixes released on the regular, and their engaging DJ sets that have left their mark on club, trap, and househeads alike.

As of 2019 the collective has showcased a powerful roster of DJs, producers, and emcees, but for this minced anniversary we decided to highlight the MCC within the bold, energetic, and vicious formation of @_kadeyoung @pettypenguinmusic @s.dotmusic and @djbeastbaltimore

To celebrate the 1st year of our party series, we wanted to close out 2024’s 160+ programming with a DJ crew embodying something special, fresh, and undeniably tied to Baltimore's dance music culture.

With a night of footwork, jungle, and high bpm club powered by @pobalpresents the mixes are gna be relentless, so consider this your disclaimer💥🛸
