There’s something sacred about the way Black women love. The way family becomes your village. The way they show up unannounced, arms full of love, and remind you that you don’t have to do this alone.

My mom and sister surprised me. They flew all the way from the States to Paris just to hold me through this postpartum season.

I’ll never forget this moment. This is what showing up looks like. This is what love feels like.

We didn’t have a sitter for our anniversary, so we had to make it kid friendly and bed time is near dinner. I told our waitress Anna and she immediately said, “I’m taking her. Y’all need a moment.” 🥹 Such a sweet gesture and we were so grateful. ❤️ this is community at its finest.
