The phrase “clean ingredients” gets used everywhere in the “better-for-you” food space but what does it actually mean?

Truthfully, it’s not a regulated term & food was never meant to be viewed as morally “clean” or “dirty” in the first place.

I wanted to have a more nuanced conversation around the language we use in food marketing, ingredient transparency, and what consumers are actually looking for when they reach for “better-for-you” products.

At the end of the day, I don’t believe healthy eating should feel fear-based or black and white.

I believe we simply deserve more options made with thoughtful ingredients that taste genuinely delicious

The problem isn’t always sweetness - it’s how the sweeteners are made & what they’re paired with.

One of our favorite parts of being a small business is getting to collab with other businesses we genuinely love.

Burlap and Bean is a local, family-owned coffee roaster that shares so many of the values we care about at Mindfully Mina’s - quality ingredients, thoughtful sourcing, and an incredible product experience.

They roast every coffee in-house and exclusively source USDA Organic & Fair Trade Certified Beans.

When we dreamed up our salted vanilla protein balls, partnering with them just made sense.
