Two weeks ago, my uncle passed away. If you’d been wondering where I had disappeared off to, now you know😅

I’m not the best with family, but this was probably one of the first deaths I had experienced that was a bit difficult to face right away. He was taken from us too early, and it was hard to see how much my family was hurting.

His funeral was this held this past weekend in the Philippines and while I couldn’t be there in person, my mom told me that one of his wishes was for everyone who attended to wear a pair of Converse. So, this is for my Tito Toy🤍🕊️ by @mindlessmilk.sm

October has come to end, which means Izzy SZN is now over, and I wanted to end it on an illustration that I felt represents my current place in life the most🥺 It’s been a pretty rough year and honestly, probably the second lowest point I’d ever hit in my life😔 So, here is my take on emotional baggage🥺❤️‍🩹🧳

When i first drew this, I initially sketched it with the feeling of taking in a breath of fresh air. At the time, I was in a more positive place being comfortable with the “baggage” that I hold and was ready to go wherever life took me… but too many life events happened in too short amount of a time this year, and I’ve seemed to have acquired much more baggage than I was ready to carry😓

I’m still very tired and I don’t really feel completely out of the woods yet… I think this illustration really captures my anxiousness about being able to continue moving forward, but we’re still trying to🥺😣❤️‍🩹

If you read through the whole beginning, thank you for letting me vulnerable and just for being here💖 I think this is a piece that everyone has something to add to because we all have our own form of emotional baggage, so I have also decided to make this my very first DTIYS and invite you to share your own vulnerabilities🥺🫶🏼

Last Friday I had a blast vending at Tigerlands! 🐅🐾 It was great to see lots of friends, see some returning customers from last year😱, vibe to some music and chat with my booth neighbors😄

Smile✨

Earlier this year I had been talking to someone, and I had come to like him very much☺️ However, things ended up fizzling out, and here I am with feelings I don’t know what to do with😅 But then I went to an open studio and talked to one of my favorite painters about her inspiration. She talked about capturing the little moments in her life and turning vulnerability into something beautiful, and that made me realize hey, I can let my feelings out through art too!

Originally I wasn’t going to post this, but I decided that I shouldn’t downplay or be ashamed of how someone else made me feel, and honestly, those feelings were scary, but also incredibly lovely🥰

While I was painting this, there were a few moments where I was left speechless because I would think to myself, wow, this person must have been really wonderful in my eyes for this to be so beautiful🥺 I wasn’t expecting that, so I was a bit overwhelmed at the realization of how far my feelings seemed to run. I was also a bit embarrassed because, how dare I have the audacity to feel that way about someone when I had barely even known them?

Honestly I still find the thought ridiculous, but there’s also a part of me that finds it to be both comforting and a privilege to have experienced such feelings for someone. I had been in a few relationships before, but I don’t think I had ever felt such a natural draw/connection to someone like this. He gave me some pretty intense butterflies☺️🦋

To be honest, I’m also grateful to this person because it felt like he gave a bit of a kickstart to my heart. It genuinely felt like a breath of fresh air and I find myself remembering what it’s like to love earnestly, not just romantically but platonically as well. I think I had hidden that away for a long time, and at the moment I feel much more present in the relationships I have and continue to make, so I really love that🥹 In the end, I’m thankful for the impact he had made on me and allowing my heart to open up once more💗

He certainly made me smile a lot, and one of the first things I noticed about him was his smile. I thought he had a really beautiful smile(I still do🤭), so I just wanted to show that✨ by @mindlessmilk.sm

So, this one ended up hitting close to my heart💜

When I originally saw this figure in the display, I was thinking “what is that black slab he’s holding???” So when I first pulled him, I can’t lie, I was pretty disappointed😭

But then I realized that little black slab was a mask, and then I saw the title of the figure was “Love Makes Me Afraid”, and that immediately melted my heart🥺🤧 It just gave me a new perspective on the figure and gave it a beauty I didn’t originally see🥺✨

What also made this piece hit a little harder was that while I was working on it, I happened to be experiencing a cute little romance of my own😱🤭 But unfortunately, with it I also experienced a small little heartbreak, so once I finished this illustration, I found myself resonating with this it… quite a bit😅😔❤️‍🩹 But that’s a story for maybe another time🤫

Anyways, thank you for always giving me a space where I can open my heart and show a little vulnerability, especially for my first post back in two months😅🥹 I look forward to being back🫶🏼💖💖

Guys, my first ever market was with @apidatpacific , and it was such a joy to come full circle and vend for them again at the very same event one year later🥹 You never forget your first😭✨🫶🏼

I didn’t realize it until I was working the market, but it was really nice to look back on all those memories and feelings🥹 Thank you to all the friends and customers that came to visit my table!🥹🙇‍♀️ You all really made my day💖💖💖

So I’ve been wanting to draw any fanart for a while now, and I was supposed to do an art market at the end of February that was going to cater towards geeks and nerds, so I thought that would be good motivation for me to finally start making some.

Unfortunately the market got canceled, but I’ll still be trying to make a push on fanart for a bit, starting with Rengoku from Demon Slayer🔥🔥😤 I’m planning to draw more from Demon Slayer, but what other characters/anime would you want to see?🤔

When you log 1000 hours in sims 4🫨🫨😅

In case you couldn’t tell, Sims is my ultimate comfort game🫣 Lol okay not that this helps my case but this was accumulated over the course of 10 years💀 But yeah I can stop playing sims for a week, a couple months, a couple years even, but someway somehow, I will ALWAYS find my way back to Sims😤😤💚

Did you guys play the Sims? Did you buy an ungodly amount of game packs like I did? Just me…? Okay bye💀

My first ever art vs artist😱 I remember this time last year, I didn’t have enough finished artwork to do this trend, so I’m really happy to be able to participate this year🥹🥹

While I didn’t get to do as much as I had wanted with my art and the shop this year, I still had new opportunities/experiences and became more involved in the art community🥹 I feel excited for what next year will bring for me, and thank you to everyone that has been supporting me 🙇‍♀️💖🫶🏼 See you next year😤
