POSTS STORIES REELS

You can admire someone else’s business and still build yours differently.
At your pace.

Around your values.

With room for the life you want to live.

When you’re finding your way in a new chapter, give your own experience a place in the conversation, too.

I joined @courtney.koenig on the ROI of Peace podcast to talk about identity, self-trust, and building from the inside out.

A conversation for the moments when everyone else sounds certain, and you’re learning to hear yourself again.

What might you see differently in your business if you paused long enough to question what you’ve been assuming?

Tomorrow at Mindful Mingle, you’ll join fellow women founders for a guided mindfulness exercise, honest entrepreneurial stories, and conversations that invite you to see your business with fresh eyes.

You’ll explore a familiar belief that may be shaping your decisions—and hear how someone else’s experience could open up a possibility you hadn’t considered.

Bring something you’re working through. You don’t need to have it figured out.

Grateful to @entreprenistas for the community and @kiln.co for sponsoring the space.

When was the last time someone asked about your story before your title?

Last week, I sat at @longertablessandiego in iconic Balboa Park.

Together, 500 community leaders, builders, and weavers from across San Diego County around one table, from every ZIP code in San Diego County, sharing one long table under the open sky, with live music and delicious food with real stories.

No pitches. No “so, what do you do?”

Only stories. Where we came from. What we’re carrying. What we hope for.
Something in me settled. Many of us lead with our résumé out of habit. It’s how we learned to be taken seriously. It reminded me why I host Mindful Mingle: you deserve spaces where you can feel known beyond what you do.

People don’t connect with our titles. They connect with what’s true about us. A title can open the door. A story is what makes someone want to stay. I think that’s true for our businesses, too.

I left feeling lighter, more joyful, and deeply grateful to Adriana "Adri" Brunner for invitation and @longertablessandiego for creating such a meaningful gathering.

If no one asked what you do, which story would you tell?

You’re not lost. You’re just the one person not getting your own attention.

We keep hearing that identity comes from within, like there’s a finished version of us parked in there somewhere waiting to be found.

Then we go looking, find nothing, and decide something’s wrong with us.

Here’s what I actually think is happening. You spent an hour today knowing everything about a stranger’s week and nothing about your own.

Asha Mody was born in India and came to the US and grew a business has launching brands into big box stores, and she’ll tell you the hard part was never the strategy.

Try these 3 things, two minutes to tap into your confidence and wisdom:
Both hands on your heart.
Gratitude, out loud.

That’s not finding yourself. That’s noticing yourself.
Tell me I’m not the only one who does the scrolling thing.

Drop PODCAST and I’ll send you the whole episode. by @mindsydesign

Sometimes, the most meaningful connection begins with something you’d never put in your business bio.

Where you grew up.
A turning point.
An experience that shaped what matters to you.

At Mindful Mingle, we gathered in my sunny San Diego backyard, with mountains around us and journals on the table.

We paused. Wrote. Shared our stories in small circles.

A little space to hear ourselves, and get to know the women behind the businesses.

Building something of your own can feel lonely. There’s something reassuring about having a conversation where your whole self belongs.

That’s the intention behind Mindful Mingle. And the heart of Mindsy: building from the inside out.
What’s something about you that your business bio leaves out?

Grateful to the @Entreprenista members and local who joined us.

Some connections deserve more than a Wi-Fi signal.

So I opened my backyard for the first Mindful Mingle, a morning for women founders to slow down, be present and meet beyond the usual introductions.

We began with small, unexpected stoMindsyDesignr lives.

The kind that gently move a conversation from
“What do you do?”
to
“I feel like I really know you.”

Then came laughter, honest business conversations, thoughtful introductions and the beginning of genuine relationships.

My hope was simple:

That you could arrive knowing no one and leave feeling seen, supported and connected to someone worth knowing beyond the event.

Because meaningful business relationships are rarely built through a perfect pitch.

They grow through trust, generosity and the feeling that someone truly cares.

Before the morning ended, women were already asking when we could gather again.

That feels like the beginning of something meaningful.

Less pitching.
More presence.
More genuine connection.

All month, Asha Mody’s (@mindsydesign) fundraiser has been about one thing: giving girls in India the training, mentorship, and confidence to become leaders in their own communities. And that’s what the Girl Icon program does, and it only works because people show up for it.

If you’ve been meaning to give, this is the moment. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps carry this forward.

Make Asha’s birthday count, donate before the campaign closes in two days. https://lnkd.in/d9y7CyFt
