Dear moms, working women, and everyone who’s always needed by somebody… ⬇️⬇️⬇️

When do WE actually get a sick day?! 🫠😂

Called off work again because I’m still sick! But before 8 AM, I’ve already rearranged schedules at work and headed outside to feed the chickens and goats and got the girls ready for school!

And it got me thinking… even when we’re sick, exhausted, or just need a minute, there’s always SOMETHING or SOMEONE who needs us!

Don’t get me wrong! I love my people and my little chaotic life! 🫶🏼 But sometimes I wonder when we actually get to clock out from being needed!

Anybody else feel this one?! 🥴🫶🏼

33 years old and apparently this is what self-care looks like now! 😂💀

I’m a wife, mom, animal lover, professional overthinker, and a whole lot of personality until my social battery hits 0%! 🫠

Some days I’m the loudest person in the room! Other days I don’t want to talk to a single soul!

I’m learning that I don’t have to be one version of myself all the time!

And apparently I’m also learning to put my weirdness out there! 🤣

Apparently, we’re sharing now! 😂🥗

Nothing fancy! Just an Aldi Caesar salad kit, my girl, and a little couch time! 🫶🏼

I’ve always called E my baby bird! 🐣 Any time I’d have food, she would crawl or walk over to me with her mouth hanging wide open ready for whatever I was eating! 😆

Some days, this is the only quiet moment between my 9–5 and everything waiting for me at home! 🫶🏼

Yesterday, I sat in my driveway, grabbed my supplements, and took a minute to do something for ME before walking through that door!

Because I’ve learned that taking care of myself doesn’t always look like an hour of alone time, a perfect routine, or some big self-care moment!

Sometimes it’s literally 60 seconds in my driveway! 😂

And if you’re in a season where everyone needs a piece of you, here’s your reminder… You deserve a little piece of you too! 🫶🏼🌿

Dear girl who feels like she should be doing more,

You’re allowed to enjoy where you are, too! 🫶🏼

📌Not every day has to be productive
📌Not every moment needs a purpose
📌Not everything has to be leading you somewhere

Sometimes you get coffee with a friend!
You sit somewhere pretty!
You laugh! You talk! You take the picture!
And you let yourself enjoy your life while you’re living it!

There will always be another goal! Another to-do list! Another thing you could be working on!

✨BUT THERE’S ALSO RIGHT NOW✨

And I hope you don’t get so busy building a life you love that you forget to actually live it! 🫶🏼🌿

Dear girl who thinks these are just ordinary Mondays,

One day, you’re going to miss this!

The rushing home from work!
The divide and conquer evenings!
One kid heading one direction, the other heading another!
Sitting in parking lots waiting for practice to end!
And apparently… the completely unnecessary photoshoots before cheer! 😂

Right now it can feel like we’re always rushing to the next thing! But somewhere in all this ordinary chaos are the days I’m going to wish I could have back for just five minutes! 🥹

So I’m trying to notice them while I’m still in them!
Even the loud ones!
The rushed ones!
The goofy face in the car ones!

11 years together! 10 years married! 🖤

One year and one day after we started dating, I married you! 😂🫣
Were we crazy?
Maybe! 🤔
Did we know what the next 10 years were going to hold?
Absolutely not!

But I knew it was you! And somehow, through every version of us since then… it’s still you! 🖤 We said yes! We got married! We found our home! We became Mom & Dad! Somewhere between all of those big milestones are a million little moments that don’t make it into pictures!

The hard days! The belly laughs! The arguments! The growing up! The figuring it out as we go! The times life felt really freaking good… and the times I wasn’t okay!

You’ve seen versions of me that I know haven’t always been easy to love! You’ve watched me struggle mentally! You’ve stood beside me through things you couldn’t fix for me, even when I’m sure you would’ve given anything to!

And you still choose me. Every. Day. 🖤

My rock! My partner! My other half! My safe place! My biggest cheerleader! My best friend! My husband! 🖤

Whatever you call the person who feels like home… that’s my Karl! I don’t need some perfect fairytale! Give me this! Same man! Different chapters! And I’d still choose you every time!

Dear Rooted but a Little Wild Girl, 🤎

Not every day is going to be all the things AND remember to take care of yourself! 😂

Today definitely wasn’t mine! 🫠

I’m tired! I’m hungry! I have a headache! And I’m sitting at cheer practice ready for the day to be DONE!

But this is also why I’m thankful for the simple things I’ve made consistent… like my daily supplements… to help fill nutritional gaps and support my routine when the rest of the day isn’t exactly going according to plan! 🌿

Support, not perfection!

Dear Rooted but a Little Wild Girl, 🌿

I had an entire post ready for yesterday about how I’m finding my way back to ME… and I forgot to post it! 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

If that doesn’t perfectly sum up this season of my life, I don’t know what does!

I know what makes me feel good!
✨Eating enough
✨Getting my protein in
✨Drinking my water
✨Moving my body
✨Taking care of myself

And lately?

I’ve been skipping breakfast!
My water has been meh!
Yesterday lunch was literally half a bag of Quest chips! 🫠
Dinner was Taco Bell!

I know better! But knowing better doesn’t magically make me perfect at doing it!

Life gets busy! Routines get messy! And sometimes I look up and realize I’ve slowly moved myself right back to the bottom of my own list!

So I’m finding my way back!
🚫Not with a Monday restart
🚫Not with a perfect meal plan
🚫Not by trying to fix everything overnight

Just by noticing… making the next choice… & continuing to choose myself again! 🌿

And I want to show you this part too!

Because if you’ve been struggling with things you KNOW how to do… you’re not the only one! 🤎

Dear Rooted but a Little Wild Girl, 🫶🏼🌿🪴

Please tell me I’m not the only one who can remember 738 things for everyone else… and somehow forget the most basic things for myself! 😂

This weekend I washed the girls’ car seat covers!
Did I put them back on?
Nope!
Did I then leave them outside in the rain yesterday?
Obviously! 🫠

Thankfully they dried back out today and Karl got ONE back on before basically informing me everything else was my problem!😂

Fast forward to tonight… I’m sitting in the parking lot during cheer practice trying not to pee my pants because apparently the woman who constantly says… “Did everybody go potty before we leave?!”… cannot remember to ask HERSELF THE SAME QUESTION! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Motherhood is really just keeping everyone else alive while occasionally realizing… oh crap! I live here too! 🏡

Please tell me what completely ridiculous thing YOU forgot lately so I feel better about myself!! 😂
