The story of my mother’s blanket

During a long stay in hospital in the 1990s, my mother had a lot of time on her hands. She bought a pile of cotton yarn in beautiful colours and started knitting one square a day, inspired by whatever had happened or filled her thoughts that particular day.

Laila “Minifys” had stopped by, someone had a birthday, she had talked to her brother Gunnar about his chickens – and so many other little things from everyday life.

Later, all the squares were crocheted together into a large, beautiful bedspread. It has been used for 30 years now – and it still is.

That blanket is one of the sources of inspiration behind my little company, MinEgen.

The idea of simply creating whatever you feel like, straight from your imagination. Making something personal, with a little humour. Something that creates memories and is made to last. Something that is used, loved, and slowly becomes part of your own story. by @minegen.dk

OWL IN LONDON – PART 3 🕊️

I travelled far… and met so many new souls and had so many incredible impressions.

Fun places to maybe stay…
Little corners of the world where stories begin.

For now, we’ve found a place to rest, in our cozy nest. Excited to meet the ones we belong to 🤍 by @minegen.dk

OWL IN LONDON – PART 2 🦉

As the Wise One, I was sent out by the flock
to find places where we might live
and meet all the sweet children 🤍

I felt very small in the big city…
but then I found other flocks.

Bear was especially happy
to meet kindred spirits 🧸

And I even met Paddington Bear himself.
We had a little chat
about how to find our way
to where we truly belong ✨ by @minegen.dk
