• mango white peach - so refreshing & light, subtle white peach & mango flavor, not overly sweet
• ube osmanthus with brown sugar boba - such a good combo! ube was smooth & rich with a subtle floral osmanthus flavor, the boba had a good chewy texture & sweetness
• cheesy taro - the taro was creamy & not too sweet, the cheese foam added a slight salty contrast
• strawberry matcha latte with matcha foam top - strawberry flavor wasn’t overpowering, the matcha foam added an extra layer of creaminess and a stronger matcha flavor

so no one told me that @mingchaofficial ’s first and only us location was in walnut?? i’ve been missing out this whole time because wow their tea is so good!

what we got:
🧋 thai milk tea + brown sugar boba
🖤 roasted black sesame + herbal jelly
🥭 mango white peach + highland barley boba
🍋 yuzu muscat

all of their menu items really do embody the “not too sweet” mentality, which is perfect for me as someone who loves my subtly sweet teas. i especially loved their mango cream top, which tasted like a light whipped cream with a fresh mango flavor, not artificial at all! their black sesame cream was nutty, light, and the perfect compliment to a light milk tea. if you like a sweet thai tea i would advise going with less sugar, since their drinks are already conservative on the sweetness to begin with!

the shop itself has a few seats and tables, and has a nice minimalistic wooden style. the moment i stepped into the shop i could smell the fragrant teas!! what i found especially unique and delicious was the menu of toppings. i tried the highland barley boba, which i had never heard of before, and was pleasantly surprised! it’s not chewy like traditional brown sugar boba, rather more of a stiff jelly ball (think of like a crunchy grape) with a chewy piece of barley in the center and a very subtle sweet flavor. it can see it pairing well with both fruity and milky drinks, and it was super yum in my mango white peach tea! i would definitely come back to try their matcha and other toppings :)

Ming Cha (soft opened Jan 25, 2025) is a must-try if you like actual tea flavor. First US shop, leaves sourced from Taiwan, ceremonial-grade matcha from Japan. No syrups except brown sugar boba — everything else is real purée.

My 4 to try:
