I've been shoving rocks under this #adenium since it was a seedling. She's starting to look real sexy. #amplexus 😂

Probably my favorite piece of inlay. I attribute this #santodomingopueblo piece to #chrisnieto
Found it second hand several years ago and liked the orange beads and simple waxed cotton twine so much that I simply redid the ends and added an expansion chain.

I haven't been posting much lately because I've been a bit obsessed with pickleball. (Don't worry, I still have a ton of plants and find neat things second hand.)
Really proud to say I played and won my first (small) tournament today thanks to my partner Jason! Thanks for the positivity and the great drill sessions--we'll do this again in December! 🙌🏼

It's too hot to go outside! Here are some indoor plants for content instead. House space is generally reserved for #gesneriad / #africanviolet , #begonia (mostly in terrariums) and #hoya , among other oddballs. by @mingthings.public

Found an absolute treasure today: #juancalavaza watch tips! Juan was #effiecalavaza 's husband and she learned her iconic snake design from him (you can see the two compared in the second pic). I believe this piece is earlier as it has not yet transitioned to the perfectly rounded head that is typical of his later work and of Effie's pieces.

Not bad for the second time through! You can tell we took lessons from the same person and I think we stuck together pretty well despite some variance in tempo. #sisters @eelnimhak

Today's ensemble of thrifted #nativeamericanjewelry pieces, plus my favorite knife, the #vosteed Valkyrie. Somehow it all comes together nicely.

#Repot or rejig so the #copiapoa can spread out? The #obregonia is doing so well I've been loathe to move it for years. So long that I forgot whatever it was that died out on the right. It's a "deep" (3.5") bonsai pan.

I originally posted this yard sale treasure as a story but decided it was interesting enough to warrant a post after reading some articles by @sanmarcosgrowers .
#agave 'Sharkskin' is from a natural population of the #agavevictoriaereginae complex x #agavescabra complex (#agaveasperrima ). It's called 'Sharkskin' if the origin is #huntingtonbotanicalgardens and 'Sharkskin Shoes' if it came from tissue culture of #ruthbancroftgarden plants-- although the current curator doesn't support the differential naming. Whatever the case, this promises to be sun hardy and sculptural in the garden. That's a lot of excitement for $5!
