ARTIST
I am a Polish artist of Vietnamese origin, born in Hanoi and raised in Warsaw. My background in architecture shapes the way I approach watercolor, balancing structural clarity with expressive freedom.
My work explores the cultural dialogue between Asia and Europe, shaped by memory, migration, and evolving identity. Through painting, I reflect on the spaces between places, the layers of belonging, and the emotional landscapes created by movement and history.
Watercolor allows me to translate these experiences into light, atmosphere, and gesture, turning personal memory into visual language.

EDUCATOR
Teaching has been an essential part of my artistic journey. Through workshops, lectures, and university teaching, I share my experience with artists at different stages of their development.
My approach combines technical understanding with creative exploration. I encourage students to see watercolor not only as a medium, but as a way of thinking, observing light, simplifying form, and building confidence through process.
Education, for me, is a space of exchange. Each workshop becomes a dialogue where knowledge, curiosity, and artistic discovery move in both directions.

INDUSTRY
Alongside my artistic practice, I work within the professional art industry as International Account & Sales Manager at Daniel Smith Artists’ Materials, focusing on the Asian market.
In this role, I collaborate with artists, retailers, and distributors, helping connect creative communities with the tools and materials that support their work.
Working between the studio and the industry allows me to bring practical artistic experience into product knowledge, education, and market development. It is another way of building bridges between artists, materials, and the global watercolor community.

🎨 INTRODUCING THE ARTISTS EXHIBITING AT CONFLUENCE 2026

With the Confluence 2026 exhibition taking place this December, I am pleased to introduce to art lovers and collectors in Vietnam and around the world the artists who are joining this event.

Confluence 2026 brings together artists from Vietnam, Spain, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Portugal, Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan. Each artist has their own artistic journey, spanning creating, teaching, exhibiting, and connecting with the international painting community. I deeply appreciate the participation of every artist, as each one brings their own background, approach, and perspective on painting, from watercolor, urban sketching, plein air painting to architecture and multimedia art.

I hope that, through the works presented at Confluence 2026, viewers will have the opportunity to experience the diversity of cultures and art, seen through the unique perspective and expression of each artist.

𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺
This painting was created as a demo during my recent workshop in Gdańsk, at the end of what was probably one of the most intense trips of my life: Hanoi → Warsaw → Seattle → Gdańsk → Hanoi, all within just two weeks.

It was painted barely a week before my father passed away.

Looking at it now, the atmosphere feels strangely close to what was happening inside me. A quiet harbour, a heavy sky, a distant light breaking through the clouds. Everything feels suspended, as if the world is holding its breath before the storm.

Sometimes I ask myself why I went on that trip while my father was in the hospital. Should I have stayed by his side instead?

But I keep coming back to the last question he asked me while I was sitting with him in the hospital:

“𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺?”

He was still asking about my work. Still interested in what I was doing. And when I looked back through his Facebook posts from the past ten years and more, I found so many messages wishing me success, encouraging me to keep going and celebrating my achievements.
Perhaps that was his answer to my question.
My father had always wanted me to grow, to follow my path and to keep doing what I love. Even when life became difficult, he never stopped wishing me well.
I cannot know exactly what he would have said, but remembering those words and all that encouragement gives me some peace. It reminds me that continuing my journey does not mean leaving him behind.

This painting will always remind me of that moment in my life, the uncertainty, the storm within, and the light that was still there.

There has been too much “storm” in my life over the past weeks and months. Perhaps that is why a quiet Sunday, a cup of coffee, and a sketchbook in my hands feel more precious than ever.

Sometimes, we don’t need to go anywhere or accomplish anything. We just need a little time to be with ourselves, to slow down, observe, draw, and let the mind become quiet. A little sketching. A little coffee. A little space for the inner self.
And perhaps, sometimes, this is enough.

If you’re curious about the tools I’m using:

Over the years, I painted and sent postcards to my father from different places around the world.

Small pieces of paper, painted by hand and sent across countries and oceans from cities where I was teaching, exhibiting, or simply passing through. Each one carried a little story of where I was and what I had seen, sometimes with a simple wish for his good health and the hope that one day we could travel together.

My father kept them.

Looking at them now, I realize that these postcards were more than just paintings. They were little pieces of my life sent home to him, a way of staying connected across the distance.

I never knew these little postcards would one day become such precious memories.

Thank you for keeping them, Dad.
I’ll keep painting. 🕊️
