I haven’t shared a lot of schoolwork from my first year at Sheridan, but this one was a lot of fun, and I remember putting a lot of effort into it so I’m throwing caution to the wind and im sharing it here!!

As much as I cringe at most aspects of this board, and the timing... (RIP wherever the og file is), I hold the story and characters very dear to me.

So with all that said please enjoy my storyboard from my second semester at Sheridan.

P.S to my non animation friends, the jump (in the middle of the story and the end) are beat-boards, they capture the main ideas! by @mini_doodlezz_

I never know what to get my dad for Father’s Day, so this year—after wrapping up my first year in animation school—I made him a little film based on a family inside joke! Thanks for being the best dad…and for paying for my tuition! 🥣🎣🍄‍🟫☘️😋 by @mini_doodlezz_

Greyscale to colour assignment!

Omw to Kensington market in Toronto, I passed through Chinatown. So I wanted to incorporate the colourful houses from Kensington, the CN tower views, mixed with little bits of my home’s Chinatown, like the graffiti, the New Town bao sculpture, and anything else you might recognize to create a blend of both worlds! ^0^!!

A lil walk cycle assignment for school ٩( ᐛ )و

Walking on clouds with celestial fishes, if only our world was that cool🐟✨ imagine looking up at a starry sky and all you saw were fishes circling the earth like a merry go round, we’d worship them like crazy, sigh only if that were real, i didn’t know what to put for the caption so I’m kinda going on random tangents, you’re still here? Wow have a cookie! 🥠

I’ve been working this piece, on and off, for months and figured to just put it out there or else I’d never finish fine-tuning😅

Please enjoy my iteration of the second robin,Jason Todd, seconds away from dying at the hands of the Joker.

our 24h film (15th place) !! this year the prompt was to envision a future with ai, friend or foe — we took a more doomed yuri stance, in which sam (alive person) tries to regenerate mari (dead person) with ai, which is an ultimately disastrous decision for her grief

THE TEAM:
@phyleite did storyboard & colour direction
@mini_doodlezz_ did compositing, layout & prop design
@suexine did storyboard and animatic
@kshaa.a designed mari and drew layouts
i (@shiyi.nn) designed sam and drew layouts
and we all did animation, clean up, etc!

a super hectic & tiring contest, but so fun and glad to have had participated with such an amazing group 🤩🤩
