So proud to represent @Batonga foundation at the ceremony awarding @angeliquekidjo with the first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to an African artist. This honor is so well deserved and as usual she took us all along for the ride. Thank you for exuding joy and being light and love especially in these heavy times. The tears of joy have not stopped flowing. I am blessed to know you and to call you my sister. taken in Hollywood - Los Angeles by @miniamikael

Sharing a bit of good news! I am excited to continue to serve Batonga in this new role and to continue our journey together. Next year is our 20th anniversary. Stay tuned for some exciting new announcements and opportunities to get engaged.

“The Batonga Foundation announces an exciting transition within its Board of Directors.

Aleta Williams has stepped down temporarily from her role on the Board to serve as Strategic Growth Advisor, bringing her decades of expertise in strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, and governance across Sub-Saharan Africa to support Batonga’s next phase of expansion and impact.

At the same time, the Board is proud to welcome Minia Mikael-Debass as Interim Chairperson. An accomplished development executive, Minia brings extensive experience in strategy, partnerships, and women’s empowerment. Her leadership reflects Batonga’s deep commitment to advancing gender equality through community-driven and locally led approaches.” by @miniamikael

| See what the others don’t see: This is Creativity |
Spent a few hours at The National Portrait Gallery and came across this exhibit on silhouettes. Cut paper profiles, as they were called, were a hugely popular and democratic form of portraiture in the 19th century. The story behind these images are all unique and worth a trip. ⚫️⚪️
