I had the pleasure of talking with Taylor @miniature_beans on her podcast “Tiny Talks” this week. It was so much fun to chat about this hobby and how it began and my journey back to it. I hope you’ll give Taylor a follow and listen in on Saturday or whenever you can. All of her “Tiny Talks” are a good listen. 🫶🏼🫶🏼 taken in Michigan, USA by @miniature_beans

16 years ago I made this little vessel along with many others that have special places around my home and family members houses. I guess life comes full circle when you love something.

A few of my current miniature pieces are inside, but of course my initials look a little different on the bottom....16 years later, I'm married! 🤭🫶♥️

Sometimes I think I get TOO excited about my pottery pieces, but then I remember all the time that truly goes into them...here is a look into the crackle glazing process...

After the bisque firing, I glaze the pieces and clean off each bottom. Glue them to a kiln cookie (extra protection to the kiln shelf in case the glaze runs). Then everything is fired for a second glaze firing. I try to fire them at a fast speed which is usually 4.5 hours then another 2+ hours to cool before opening the kiln. (It's like waiting for Christmas morning every time).

Once cooled I dip the pieces into india ink and wipe clean. The ink seeps into the crackles, creating the amazing crackle effect. Hours of work and waiting for the kiln to fire twice...okay....after writing this out, lol I'll allow myself to be excited! 🤣🖤

The crackle glaze I used is by @maycocolors, fired at at a Cone 06 in my @skuttkilns 🔥🖤

These cuties came out of the kiln today! I finally perfected this crackle glaze, yay!!! 💙

I spent entirely too much time trying to get a good video of them because I ran out of daylight 😭 I hope this video does them justice! 🫶

My 1:24 scale "tiny" home for our 2026 Carolina State Day hosted by my mini club, Mini Reflections! I've been working on this cutie the last couple months, it's not fully finished but close! I love half scale, it's so cute!

One thing I love about making pottery is the fluidity. I made this plate to match a bowl..but preferred how this tiny pitcher looked with it instead...so I'm going with it! 🤍

Stay till the end to see Birdie make an appearance! 🤭💚

Sharing a little love from mother nature today 🫶🍂

This heart shaped leaf was on the railing when I was taking a few pictures of my pottery pieces yesterday. 🤍

I've been trying new clay and glaze combinations as well as some different underglaze finishes...💚

I'm hoping to have a few exciting pottery sales coming soon! 🤞

Meet Birdie! 🕊️

We rescued her last week from @misplacedmutts 🤍

I have a feeling she's going to fit in just perfectly!
