While we see ourselves, so eloquently
We are hidden behind who we are
and our intentions for who we are yet to be,
Where these future consequences
Mold and shape our identity

Some strive to be their ideal self,
some may be a lesser version
Others never stop to wonder at all-
Drifting without form

Be strong, be kind, yet stay dangerous
Life is more than display
The path of right and wrong,
Anchored by something true,
Will not betray you

As our past molds us,
restrains, restores and remakes us
A childhood we cannot erase,
Fears we cannot outrun
Love that binds, moments that fade
All shaping the quiet illusion
Of who we are

For better or for worse,
To be a blessing or a curse,
I pray you find peace,
I pray you keep learning.

Question your deepest darkest moments-
Grow, become,
an embodiment of love

Like water
Drawn always to the lowest point
Rising only when changed
Drifting skyward,
Only to fall again.

The cycle unbroken in eternity

Part 2 🪞👥🧘🏽‍♂️

A great mystery
To be or not to be
A question of identity
A question that holds us to a specific reality
A choice fused into our originality

This great mystery
Unfolds, unwinds, every day to see
With choices chained to accountability
While changing masks, like clothes in a wardrobe of identity.
Fragmented, beautified and made whole—
to see, to be, like Kintsugi

A great mystery
To be or not to be.
Is the idea of self, carved by you?
,or is it shaped entirely by society?
Is the attainment of an “ideal” self,
a known illusion or your mockery?
Free will is tricky, with its information availability.

This great mystery
Of self, of purpose, of exploration, of conformity
Are they being represented in your chosen ability?
You at an “ideal” self
Are its attributes an aspiration chosen to add to your identity?

A great mystery
To be or not to be
Left unsolved,
Like sands on a beach
Or setting out for sail, on a one way journey.
Where your either forgotten
or live on land never to return

A great mystery
To be or not to be
Fighting with your ability.
To do things you deem right, and stay clear of wrong
A battle ongoing and for the strong
Regardless — your choice, to be or not to be—
experience stays real,
Circumstance carved into identity

🪞👥🧘🏽‍♂️
As times past, as we grow old,
We selectively choose the faces we show
Whether through, lived experience, or words spoken,
A mask, made to traverse the world in motion

As times past, as we grow old
We selectively choose which mask to upload
Perhaps a mask of happiness,
While chilling or hanging with friends.
Maybe a mask of mystery when they ask,
But you need to keep that information too yourself.
Some wear the mask of agreeableness,
Avoiding confrontation or disappointing others.
Many often wear a mask of toughness-
A kind of refined sternness; some see it as stoic, others a barrier, all while protecting self.

As times past, as we grow old
We selectively choose with paths we unfold,
Whether through bad choices, great ones, or none at all
Wherever the fork may lie in the road

🚷🕓🕘🚶‍♂️🏁
A space in-between,
where nothing and everything can be seen
Uncertainty—photographically, Intellectually,
Emotionally, or spiritually
Places unseen by the eyes,
Yet felt in all its entirety

A bird, freed from gravitational suppression,
Yet bound within the troposphere—
where no creature can soar beyond such tension
Or like The Shard, a Uk tower that
no floor dare stands higher

While both vigilant, and carefree,
Cats just hold this special ability
To live and breathe in the in-between:
Between, present and absent
Between affection and distant
Between reality and a kind of mystical ability

The in-between places of our journey,
So similar to spirituality—
Where we turn sinful nature into purity
by the mare asking of forgiveness,
and being, quite honestly,
honest about it. Frankly
It’s astonishing how these little paths
lead to our greater destiny

A space in-between
In-between here and there—
Both, and none,
at the same time

There are some things we just cannot see
Like air, heat, sound, and of course our friend gravity—
Yet these things we do feel, we do perceive—
such things are our existence, our everyday reality.

Like that breeze that rustles through the leaves,
Invisible to my eyes,
Like the removal of justice is but hope is to a thief,
Like words that don’t break bones, yet hurt us emotionally

As heat, also unseen, changes composition
So too do thoughts change our actions,
Our mood and communication
Far removed from mere alliteration

And as sound travels in waves, we do not anticipate
We simple participate,
In its grandeur—adding to, sometimes replacing,
Like WiFi Signals, measurable but never mistaken

And of course our friend gravity—
Which has kept us grounded with a quiet ability
It speaks to me like love, something also unseen,
Something we think is so basic, yet,
It encompasses us endlessly

There is never a moment too late
To simply breathe, observe and wait.
Just as the world moves by,
Trust it, that it always will

Any specific time is but a moment,
A glimpse behind the curtain of reality,
A very real, very focused, glimpse of materiality—
The very thing a moment could never encompass is entirety.

A puzzle piece, not the truth.
Just a sliver of a whole perspective.
To achieve a full understanding,
Your skills must turn detective.
To read a photo in the timeline accurately—
That runs endlessly,
Carefree,
With or without you and me.

This is why it’s not wise to judge
From a photo’s perspective, or while holding a grudge.
Sometimes people play
The hand they’ve been dealt
Playing carefully or with feelings unknown, unfelt

And sometimes, so do we.
We fall into this trap—
From a single moment, think we know it all.
We swing with anger,
Ready to justify the reason for attack,
Ready to call it justice,
Because we’ve all been wronged,
And think that’s sufficient backlash.

But remember — any specific time is but a moment
It’s just a blink, a breath— never the whole story.
A sliver, a glimpse into a reality

So pause before judgment,
Let patience hold your hand.
Be slow to anger,
Gentle with the unknown

So this world could be better
For you and me
While we behold

🦶🚶🏾‍♂️‍➡️🚕

Some choose to embark on a journey,
foot followed by foot, ten toes down,
stepping onward firmly.

For some, it is a habitual passage.
For others, it’s the destination
Nomads come and go without hesitation.

Yet for some, a journey is neither—
Like intellectual attainment or self-discovery
Some ponder on ethics and justice: a moral journey,
or, like Plato in the cave, finding truth from an
illusion, such a humbling story.

Whatever time you behold,
There is still a journey yet to be told—
Where endless possibilities may unfold.
Where little surprises you still,
a space that feels so common,
yet at a glance, ever-changing still.

A sculptor’s choice 👷🏽‍♂️👩🏾‍🎨

When thoughts can’t be uttered
Where words can’t be shared
What could be timeless?
It’s a sculpture, my dear

An interpretation that forms in your mind
A feeling so new, yet deeply kind
As though heaven lent it a voice,
What could be timeless like a sculpture’s choice?

It emits, resonates, it projects its fate
Bound to nothing, yet on display like bait
Catching the souls who stop, wait and gaze
What could be timeless like a sculpture’s grace?
I’d wait…

If beauty can last forever,
why not goodness too?
As timeless as a sculpture may be
So too can our morality
and our love for all humanity

🙇🏾‍♂️🧘🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️⌛️
To idle — or to get by
Weighing risks once you’ve known your why

At times, its right to slow and great to chill
Relax, frolic, enjoy the thrill
A fleeting spark of pure elation
A space for dance, a brief vacation

But other times, the call is to grind and till
The soil of your mind, for a greater yield still
A path that demands time, effort and strife
Yet brings your goal’s mission to life

Educated now, above your past self
Your ONLY real rival — no one else

A duality of self; to be idle or to strive
Sometime both, when you know your why.

At a glance, you know there’s a chance
Of it being fake,
Of it being real-
But what is disguised, right before your eyes
Are two images merged into one,
in a somewhat creative lie.

As with life:
what is real and what is make-believed,
Either one, or both, could be someone’s reality.
It’s wise to notice: the connection that is made through the eyes ,
Could be real, and still deceptive
An image, a connection, an idea, a perception-
These things that can cause introspection.

However, it is beautiful-
The bond of two, where love is made new,
Where both become one
as a new dance has begun
They no longer hold an individual identity
They have become one in sanctity

So take away your preconceptions,
Your thoughts share your reflections
Of things you believe to be true
Hold them dear, fight without fear
Because we all are two,
Merged into one

⏳🌤️🌔
Everyone shares the same 24hrs within a day
Yet while I stay awake for most,
others waste theirs away.
However time is spent, trust it to keep ticking, ticking,
ticking away.

And as the sun passes, shadows cast-
its the same every day
We get to admire an object, praise it for never changing in any way.

As moments pass, as shadows fall, we gain new perspective- if we notice at all.

In this life we take a lot for granted:
The time we have, and the moments that feel enchanted.
