It’s been a little over four years since the release of my last studio album, «Gjennom meg går ingen til hvile». In the meantime, I released the anniversary album «10 Years of Romantic Black Metal», resurrected my other band BLODSGARD with our sophomore album «Requiem», and… completed the new MINNERIKET album. Recorded. Mixed. Mastered.

Made with invaluable help from good friends, talented session musicians, and skilled collaborators.

As with all my albums, this one also marks a shift in musical direction. It builds on the foundation of GMGITH, but once again bends the formula. You’ll still recognize it as Minneriket, though. Probably. Maybe. I don’t really care.

One major difference this time: every song is in English. That’s a first.

Recorded, mixed and mastered.

Some finishing touches remain for the new album, but the process is mainly done. From the first riffs created fall 2022 and lyrics dating back to 2009, this new album (title to be announced later) is a shorter and more riff-oriented release with obvious callbacks to the very beginning of Minneriket while firmly building upon the melodic arrangements of GMGITH (2022).

Glad to be bringing back some friends and collaborators, and to introduce something new into the mix. No release date set yet, I still don’t feel comfortable separating myself from it, but once the stars align in my mind I am looking forward to share this one.
