This year the Lake Minnewashta Water Ski Club became an official nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing our community together through free water ski shows, youth lessons, and unforgettable traditions on Lake Minnewashta.

Whether you’re 5 or 55, it’s never too late to get on the water. This season saw so many new skiers, including the “mom squad”—a group of ski moms inspired by watching their kids gain new skills and confidence on the water over the summer. They decided they wanted to try new things too! (the kids were pretty proud of their grownups 🙌)

This year, for the first time ever, the LMSC is putting on two free ski shows this summer. You can catch the final show over Labor Day Weekend on Sunday, September 6th at 9am.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join us for coffee and donuts and support the next generation of water skiers.

Free for all to attend. Any donations made to LMSC are tax deductible and go toward equipment, boat maintenance, youth ski lessons, safety gear and fuel for practices and performances.

A month later and we’re still smiling about this one.

Still not over it. 🇺🇸

Mornings like today remind us why this lake is so special. 550 neighbors, friends and family lined the shore and the water to enjoy the Lake Minnewashta 4th of July water ski show.

Did you know the Lake Minnewashta water ski show has been a 4th of July tradition since 1979? Nearly 50 years of neighbors, kids, families and friends coming together on this lake to celebrate — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Lake Minnewashta Water Ski Club keeps that tradition alive year after year, sharing their love of the sport and nurturing the next generation of skiers right here in our own backyard 🙌

Beautiful way to start a Saturday!

It takes a lot of practice to get to show day. The dedication and determination of the Lake Minnewashta Water Ski Club is part of what makes this show extra special. Some of the kids have learned to dock start on skiers shoulders before even learning to ski 🤯💪. There is a lot of character building that happens between runs.
