First Page Friday. Here are the first pages of my current [work in progress] Sci-Fi TV pilot, SHIFTER. Would you turn the page?

Shoutout to Nicolas Curcio for bringing this to IG/Threads!

Chris Nolan’s TENET, CIA operative, The Protagonist (John David Washington) fights for the survival of the entire world, armed with only the word “Tenet,” traversing a twilight world of international espionage on a global mission that unfolds beyond real time…

Black leads in Time Travel movies and TV shows is it’s own sci-fi sub genre. What are some of your favorites??!

Joe Barton’s THE LAZARUS PROJECT, follows George (Paapa Essiedu) as he begins to re-live time after witnessing the end of the world. Think Groundhog Day with British spy thriller intrigue… but really it’s about loss and sacrifice.

My All time Fav: Tony Scott’s DÉJÀ VU, at its core a love story. ATF agent Doug (Denzel) becomes obsessed with saving Claire (Paula Patton) the victim of a terror attack.

What’s your favorite Time Travel with a Black lead?!

How has it been a year already…?! 👀

Weirdly, as messed up as the conditions were before, the rhetoric during, and the direness after… being on the picket line was beyond fulfilling for me personally. It took the inherit solitude of writing and turned it into a bases for connection… Thank you to everyone who I had the pleasure of meeting.

August 17, 2023. As major fans of the TV series WARRIOR ‘based on the writings of @brucelee ’ @amyjjoe and I organized/hosted a Warrior themed picket at Disney during the WGA/SAG strikes.

Thank you to Shannon Lee, the writers and cast for being there (even through FaceTime) with us and all the Fans of Warrior and Bruce Lee who came out.

Special thanks to our sponsors: @blingblingdumpling @bobaguys @standwithasians @therealshannonlee @skyway_gb #warrior #brucelee #WGAstrong #SagAftraStrong taken in Disney studios Burbank by @minquell

Illegal leaflets to counter propaganda.

Media was effectively weaponized to keep the Dutch docile and ignorant of the true Nazi agenda. The NSB(right wing party) conspired with the Nazi occupying force to cede control of the Dutch government. Students wrote and printed newspapers and leaflets to spread awareness and call for sabotage… “Resist by every means available to you.”

These same students were executed for their roles in the Dutch Resistance.
