how can memory be interpreted or related to? through an object?

this is a continuation & iteration of the “Liquid moments”

“This concept explores the way objects become vessels for our memories.
A simple wine bottle can hold the story of a meaningful night—shared laughter, important people, unforgettable moments. Even after it’s empty, the bottle remains a keeper of that experience, just like we hold memories within ourselves.

We often hold onto objects we don’t need, but we keep them because they’re tied to who we were and what we felt. And even when these objects break, we try to fix them—maybe not perfectly, maybe not back to their original form—but enough to keep the memory alive.

This piece reflects how objects gain emotional value, how we connect with them, how they can change over time, and how we do whatever we can to preserve what matters to us. Just like memories, they may crack, fade, or transform, yet we hold onto them because they’re part of our story.” by @mio.folio

Part of “Liquid moments”

This concept began with my family’s long-standing relationship with wine. At home, wine is not something we buy — it’s something we make. There is always fresh, homemade wine stored in our basement, quietly aging as part of our everyday life.

What stood out to me was not only the wine itself, but the way it is kept and shared. The wine is stored in simple glass bottles — nothing decorative or excessive. A bottle is used, washed, and reused again and again. We drink the wine together, clean the bottle, and refill it, continuing a cycle that feels both natural and meaningful.

Through this repeated use–wash–reuse process, the bottle becomes more than just a container. It carries memories of shared meals, conversations, and special occasions. The same bottle passes through different moments and hands, quietly collecting stories over time.

This project is rooted in that idea — wine as a shared experience, a way of collecting memory and the humble glass bottle as a symbol of continuity and family connection. by @mio.folio
