put off putting this up because i could not think of a sound to upload this with. they’re noises when it comes to this one. so, yes, ofc, let it be, yes, yes, yada yada. i was wondering how to market it best but i am terrible at marketing. not knowing what’s best, i will attach something i was talking about my photographic experience:⁣

There are more and more and more and the count — I’ve lost them — where I don’t take out my camera. When the camera comes out, I find it curated. I want the instance to be lived and let it pass. Let it pass through this dimension of time through which I perceive. Let it exist and let it stay in its invisible state. ⁣
⁣
I wanted to live to find what it is that I have to say. I’ve been finding more moments come and go, as if that is where they belong. Not corporeal-like to be caged in frames. More passing, more experiencing. Less of translating my experience into images, holding them to be objective, but they are fiction nevertheless. More of letting it sit with its atomic impression on my vague unreliable memory. Building a treasure box to be dug out. Burying them all over, maybe I will find a day in my life to sit and map out where these memories were placed in my imaginary timeline.

Yet, I pull out my camera when I find that the moment is ready to be photographed. Ready to be captured, asking me, that moment speaks to me; and I do. I’ve been subversive to have things less in control and more of sitting to watch the play play out. by @miooooooooya

I said: I will stop curating myself. Jingle-jangle the solitary one-sided conversation with everybody. Jeopardise my personal comfort that I may have been clinging onto rather than anybody else imposing it on me. by @miooooooooya

Food bowls and plates captured throughout 2024.

I am not a person who has any deeper interest in food or taste. I view food as something that I require in order to survive but I became deeply intrigued by this idea of recording my food bowls throughout the year, as there is no richer and personal testament to explore culture than through the meals that people eat in their daily lives. Recording my own food and meals is much easier and much more accessible than going to document anyone else’s >< all the more since I wanted to put forward the narrative of my own people. Being a member of my society, I wanted to share this teeny tiny, what you may not even call a passion project (it is) to have any relation to the person that I am. I am aware that I eat quite different to others (with rice noodles being a frequent visitor to my bowl, as a substitution to instant noodles, which I cannot have everyday for the love god!). However, I hope you do have an enjoyable time flipping through the images and have your own experience to it :)

I’ve not included any stories to any of the bowls or plates because, I do not like doing that. But, I hope what is given is enough to make you have a pleasurable experience ᵕ̈ •ᴗ• ˶ᵔ ᵕ… by @miooooooooya
