Adding bold ornamental tattoo work around an existing piece, filling more space and continuing to build a collection that grows with its wearer.

Every addition is another opportunity to create something cohesive, intentional and unique to the person wearing it.

Ornament created to honour the body.
🌞~
Sharp black lines, fine detail and intentional placement — designed to accentuate the natural form rather than compete with it.
🌞~
Every curve, space and line is considered to create a piece that feels connected to the body it belongs to.
🌞~
For custom ornamental tattoos, full front pieces & full backpieces — Sydney.

🇬🇧 Josh Marx is a tattoo artist specialising in ornamental work and co-owner of Prana Tattoo Studio in Bondi Beach, where he works alongside fellow artist Charlie Lund.

His distinctive style takes shape through detailed, symmetrical ornamental compositions, with fine or bolder lines anchored by areas of solid black. His approach reflects the same eye for composition that also defines his painting.

For Josh, every project is a unique collaboration: each tattoo is designed to flow with the body, created for one person and never repeated. taken in Fiera di Padova by @mir_ruh

One colour at a time 🎨
🌞~
Watching this 70s-inspired tessellating pattern build from the first shapes to the final layer.
🌞~
A little glimpse into the process behind this commissioned piece — geometric pattern, retro colour and repetition coming together by hand.
🌞~
The finished piece coming next.

Healed ornamental work 🖤
🌞~
Bold lines, intentional placement and a design built to complement the natural shape of the upper back.
🌞~
Healed ornamental tattoos hit differently — seeing the work settle into the skin is one of the most rewarding parts of the process.
🌞~
