Howard, known over the last decade as suki. Shifting into unchartered sonic territories after 18
months of studio experimentation and a reignition of inspirations from the early 00’s, Thrill
debuts with ‘Smoke Fuelled Fantasies’ on Amsterdam based Kalahari Oyster Cult this June
accompanied by a national tour up-and-down the east coast of Australia this July

Undercurrentz volume 2: watching planet earth with the sound off 🪸 Expect all things house, with deep, dubby & progressive being the primary flavours being served up 👨‍🍳 Our selectors will be Wil Knott (@wilknott) , Karishma (@miracle.passing) and EAC (@eastaustraliancurrentz). The trio returns from their outing at Black Bear last weekend, this time bringing the heat to quivr!

Come and submerge yourself in the underwater realm where you can expect the visuals of David Attenborough and decorations reminiscent of our world’s beautiful ocean. Deep house will anchor the beginning of our journey as we drift between dub-techno/dub-house, and progressive house throughout the night. Bang! Let’s go on hitting the wood panels again, BACK by popular response with another free music event. Hosted by the best venue in West End ( @theendbar ). Aaaaaand featuring such tectonic, tasteful talent as:

HOT APPLE PIE
Hot Apple Pie ( @lennysumich ) (H.A.P.) serves up DJ sets as warm and inviting as the name suggests — smooth, playful grooves with a sweet, spiced filling and a flakey house crust, all built on a solid foundation of funk. Just when you think you’ve cracked the recipe, H.A.P. sprinkles in unexpected edits and curveball selections to keep the pattern interesting. Best served loud, hot, and à la mode.

KARISHMA
Karishma ( @miracle.passing ) is a queer Meanjin born and bred music lover, who is often found at the front of the dance floor. Karishma sees music as a mode of expression and belonging, where community is formed and sharing love is the main goal. Her approach to music is simple; the dance floor is for everyone. Her style incorporates all that is fun, flirty, feminine and euphoric.

A standout presence within the new guard of selectors, Ed Kent has spent over a decade honing his craft and carving out a distinct voice defined by an unshakable sense of conviction and commitment. His no-limits approach to selection and genre-hopping has earned him a place on some of the country’s most esteemed lineups, where he has sought to challenge expectations and sidestep current trends in favour of timeless sonic exploration. Forgotten House B-Sides, rolling Techno Tools and Deranged No Wave Curveballs all land in the mix with considered intent, resulting in an experience which is both unpredictable and enthralling.
