Building a company in Nigeria has taught me that having a good idea is only the beginning.

Building The Good Media HQ has taught me patience, resilience, strategy and, most importantly, the ability to keep moving even when the resources don’t match the vision.

I’ve learnt that you cannot build a sustainable company on talent alone. You need systems. You need the right people. You need accountability. You need to understand your market, protect your reputation and constantly evolve.

I’ve also learnt that in Nigeria, you have to be prepared to wear many hats. Founder, strategist, problem-solver, negotiator, creative director, sometimes even the person reminding everyone what the deadline is. 😂

But perhaps my biggest lesson is this: you don’t have to start big to build something significant. You just have to start with clarity, consistency and the willingness to learn.

The Good Media HQ is still growing, still evolving and still becoming.

And I’m proud of the journey so far.

We are building something meaningful — one strategy, one solution and one relationship at a time.

I am still in awe of the massive support and love I received yesterday at my ward.

One thing is to play politics; another is to have the support of your people at home. Yesterday was a moment I will never forget. The love was overwhelming and honestly, more than I ever imagined for a young woman like me navigating public service and politics.

First, I want to sincerely appreciate my Principal, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori (@sheriffoborevwori) for the platform and opportunities he has created for young people like myself to participate meaningfully in governance and public service. Sir, thank you for believing in young people.

To my leader, Sheriff Junior Oborevwori, (@sheriff_jnr_oborevwori ) as much as I feel Amazed about this, I know you made it possible. Without your trust in my ability, I probably would not be where I am today. Thank you for believing in me and continuously giving me room to grow.

To the man who has supported me right down to the grassroots, Hon. Ehiedu Aniagwu Charles, (@aniagwucharles) you keep opening doors to new light every day. The way you have shaped my skills and abilities in public communication, media and governance continues to amaze me. Sir, I am deeply grateful for everything you keep doing and especially for what you did yesterday at my ward. Thank you, sir.
