I mean the absolute WORST sermon. 🙅🏽‍♀️* Not because it wasn’t biblically sound.* Not because I didn’t break down the Scripture.* Not because I didn’t preach with power.👆🏽🗣️ I DID ALL THOSE THINGS!!It was the worst sermon because I didn’t feel the presence of God…Sure, your talent can fill a room. Sure, your technique can hold attention. But only the presence of God changes lives. This mantle is so heavy that if God ain’t in it, I REFUSE TO DO IT! If all people remember is me, I missed it. DON’T CHANGE YOUR TEAM! 🔥Throwback to few months ago teaching the high schoolers at @hohatl about the importance of allegiance to God. Here’s the message: The safest place in the world is in the will of God. There’s danger in our paths when we’re not contained by his plan. Living without a container means to willingly walk in uncertainty, fear, and complacency. You cannot afford to lose pieces of your identity trying fitting yourself into spaces you don’t belong! 🙏🏽Let’s Pray. God I thank you, for the person reading this message. Preaching is a heavy assignment. As I reflect on my purpose, I get emotional. 😭😭😭 I always remind myself that I’m merely a messenger of God’s word and a servant to His people. This isn’t an occupation or a hobby. It’s my lifeline. Seasons may change but one thing remains: I preach to live and I live to preach.
